SA Pool Nets & Covers

I advise against using SA Pool Nets & Covers. I hired them for installation of a pool cover. The workmanship was okay initially but did seem rather rushed. Less than a year later the cover had a small hole, would not fit correctly and multiple clips were rusted. They were happy to come replace the clips but couldn’t fit the cover properly, so they just drilled new holes in the brick and tried again. This left cracked bricks and within a week the clips were rusted again. This points to substandard workmanship and product. I would also advise against using a solid pool cover, as it’s quite expensive (with or without roller) and soon looks faded, stained and quite ugly. Removal of rainwater is also a problem. None of this was advised or discussed with me prior to sale. Spend your money wisely and rather install a pool fence.

Top Roof & RR Roof Waterproofing

I highly advise against using Top Roof Waterproofing and RR Roof Waterproofing. I combine then here as that is how they operate. The original quote was from RR Roof, but Top Roof did a lot of the work. I hired them for exterior tile roof waterproofing and a small flat torch on, roof painting and ceiling replacement with necessary finishings. It was a complete disaster from the word go. The workmanship is totally substandard and after what I’ve had to go through correcting their mistakes, leads me to believe that they have no expertise in waterproofing, roof painting and ceiling installation. • Waterproofing leaked after the first rains as no preparation work was done. Torch on was redone three times and still leaked. • Certain ceilings were redone three times due to incorrect measurements and misunderstanding of how to align with roof Brandering. Removal of old ceilings left a huge mess of the walls and plaster, which they refused to rectify. Installation was substandard with unmatched joins and wavy patterns. Downlighters were installed skew more than once until I had to explain how it works. • Roof painting using a spray gun was totally substandard and has since had to be redone. Multiple areas of overspray onto other house sections left an ugly mess. They missed all deadlines, leaving the project months behind schedule. The site was left dirty with never a proper cleanup done; with rubble and cigarette butts everywhere. A full day’s work was never put in. They would arrive anytime between 10:00AM and 12:00PM and be gone by 15:00PM (sometimes earlier). Communication and professionalism were non-existent I tried to enlist help from The Professional Roof Repair and Waterproofing Association PRAWA, but they are busy removing them from their list as they do not comply to the basic regulations. Don’t be misled by their website saying they are PRAWA compliant. The 5-year warranty also means nothing as they do not have skills to fix their original mess-ups. Save your money and your sanity and look elsewhere. Rating should actually be 0 stars.
