Fica Lock and No Response from ABSA , cannot make payments. On 2022/04/11 I received a notification via email to submit documents to prevent fica lock from Ramadimetja Makhafola - Relationship Manager. On the same day i replied to the email asking what documents they required. NO RESPONSE I sent follow up emails on 2022/05/13 and 2022/05/17 NO RESPONSE I sent an email to escalate to actionline@absa.co.za on 2022/06/14 NO RESPONSE So I sent emails to 2 area managers of absa. NO RESPONSE I then posted a complaint on twitter. I received a response and a ref no: C-16724085 The FICA lock was eventually removed. Now I try to pay SARS provisional tax and find the account is locked again, no communication nothing. So what have I learned from this, 1 Get a job at ABSA, it seems you don't have to answer emails. 2. It appears ABSA prefers negative online feedback as they do not resolve the query otherwise despite every opportunity to do so. 3.It quicker to open a new bank account at another bank than get a problem resolved.
This website is a scam, the list hard to find information and force you to provide an email and credit card details. They promise not to charge you. I provided a virtual card with $1 to get the account. Once I logged in the information I was looking for was not there - so very misleading. Also they promptly charged the $1 that was there and there were options for $30 a month auto renew etc by default. All they have is very lame games,movies,music and books. Probably just enough to not be total outright fraud.
