Bought a game from them, which clearly stated "can be activated in your country". However, when I tried, I got a message stating "cannot be activated in your country". Contacted support, and after 5 days of being given the "your message is important to us, we'll get there" runaround, they rep**** with "we've cancelled your order and refunded your money", with no further explanation. It's been a week now and the refund hasn't been paid. Even better is that the same product is still being sold indicating that it can be activated in my country....even though it seems it can't. Sticking to Steam sales going forward...these guys are way too ***** for a some tiny savings.
Bought a Xiaomi Robot Vacuum about 18 months ago, and it's gone mad - it now goes in little circles round and round, but cleans almost nothing. I've reset the device countless times now, and it works for a bit, but then back to dancing in little circles all over the house in one or two runs. Contacted Xiaomi and was basically told to f**k off as they don't have support locally and they don't care. This was after a few back and forth messages - they lead you on, making you think they give service, but they might as well have returned my messages as undelivered, because nothing helpful was provided in any of their emails. The quality seems good at first...same features as much more expensive brands, and at first everything seems to work fine...bargain! However, without fail, all my Xiaomi devices fail after about 1-2 years and you are SOL for getting them fixed or replaced under warranty. TL;DR....just another Chinese company making "affordable" garbage...avoid.
I see this mentioned often on here, but I have had a similarly terrible experience with after sales service. I recently bought a product and received an open box with components missing from the packaging (rendering the product unusable). I immediately contacted support via their website, and 4 days later I got a notification that they "heard I got it" and were patting themselves on the back - I had yet to even receive a reply from their support at this stage. So I responded to this email, stating my problem again - another 4 days passed before I got a half assed response saying they'll get back to me within 24 hours...I'd been waiting 9 days at this point and that's the best they can do? Don't buy from these ********s - they do not value their customers, and don't deserve the support. PS: This is not the first time... I've had similar experiences with other stores in the JD Group, so I'm now actively avoiding all of them (including Everyshop).
Bought a bed online (3-6 days delivery), after 7 days with NO contact, beyond the initial confirmation email, I sent a message to support asking for an update on my order. I got no reply in 24 hours, so I sent a follow up message - that got the following response: "Please note your delivery request complaint was logged under the REF: JD COMPLAINTS: ********** . The turn around time for the complaint to be responded to with feedback its within 24 hours." 2 days later, still no response - so I posted a review on Google (for my closest branch) with all this information. The branch reached out and asked me to provide some information regarding my order, and that they would then escalate it. I got a call, almost a day later - some rude person who kept saying that this call was simply to "acknowledge your complaint", but proceeded to say they would contact the warehouse immediately and sort it out. 2 more days later - it's the weekend now, and I have not received any further communication, and the status on my order remains unchanged. At this stage, I'm not sure if I will ever get my product - but one thing I am 100% sure of, is that Hi-Fi Corp, and actually ALL JD Group shops, will never see another cent from me.
