I was mistreated terribly at this restaurant. Due to lack of reception at the area I was unable to find an Uber about 40 minutes before the restaurant closed. The manager spoke to me rudely and told me to leave despite explaining that I needed to find a car and was struggling. He then took some of my items out of the building and locked me out at that time of night, causing me to lose some clothing items that were in the bag he mishandled, a set of keys, a souvenir glass from Groot Constantia wine tasting that wa on my table, as well as a full bottle of bubbly that had cost me R250 and was meant to be taken home with me. When I called to report the matter 2 of the managers apologises for the behaviour. The senior manager then asked for an email but responded coldly to it, simply stating that she would investigate my accusation but not returning to me with regards. I called to confirm what had happened and was simply told by another manager that the investigation was complete and my items would not be compensated. No apology. No remorse. I was stranded so badly that I had to rely on a security patrol guard to find suitable transport due to lacking signal at the place but the restaurant itself are unapologetic about their manager’s rude treatment to begin with which left my life endangered. He had the option to seek a hired car from a different WiFi connection or wait until I was settled but he chose to kick me out after a 3 course meal and some drinks that I paid good money for. This definitely felt like a matter of my colour and I am highly disappointed. I would not recommend this place to people if colour at all.
I tried to apply for a mobile deal online on 12 January and have since had to follow up on the application by phone call because the agent assigned to me was not calling back. When she did phone, she first argued that the package i had selected was an impossibility despite having selected a packaged deal online. Following that, she sent me to Transunion with the news that I was 2 and 6 months in arrears on some accounts and must phone Transunion to check which ones. Their report disputed this, and was charged at R80. Upon return to MTN, I was asked to mail the report to a Louraine, but again had to phone back twice to get further feedback. I was then told by a third agent today, that the reason for the decline was not arrears, but that I defaulted a clothing acc payment during a time when I was unemployed last year. I asked why I was sent to buy a credit report, only to have the reasons for my decline change once the report gave us an all-clear in the area mentioned, as now it appears it had been a futile errand. I was then told rather unremorsefully that a) agents used different services for ITC & b) I cannot log a complaint for an unnecessary credit check even if it cost me money
