I ordered a cake for my mother's 70th birthday from Misa's Cakes. A picture was sent to the baker Dumisa Mdlulwa and she agreed to make the cake and charged me R700. She promised me a full refund should I not be happy with the cake. On the day of delivery I was shocked to receive an unfinished & unpresentable cake I have ever seen. When i informed her about my dissatisfaction she conceded that she got the picture wrong/misinterpreted the concept. Mind you this was a simple design. She then offered me 12 cupcakes for free or 10% off my next order. When I reminded her what she promised when I placed the order she then informed me she cannot fully reimburse me because I have already taken delivery of the cake unless I'm prepared to bring the cake back so she can resell it. I was more than 60 km away from Jhb so she knew very well that due to distance and time that was not possible. She also offered to reimburse me R200 back if I could not bring the cake back. As if that was not enot enough, when we decided to have the cake do we don't disappoint my mother and the rest of the family - because what is a birthday party without a cake? - I felt defeated when the cake tasted old, hard and tasteless sponge. The following day I told her that I've decided to settle for the R200 reimbur*****t since it was senseless for me to bring back the cake 60km away on Saturday night even though I still felt that R500 was still absurd for what she made. I then remembered that she wanted me to bring back the cake so she can resell it, I am convincing that this cake has seen many homes, that I was sold a resell. Question is how many homes or hands has the cake sold to meseen? I have not heard from her since, instead I have been bullied and harassed by her family and friend on Facebook, calling me all sorts of profanities after I reported this on Facebook. I have been told it's my problem I didn't get what I ordered and I must live with it. That there are serious problems out there, to shut the fu** up and stupid cake etc. this went on unabated with no word from Dumisa Mdlulwa.
I have never experienced such bad service in my whole entire life, the experience borders on abuse. The woman is rude and condescending. She even threw me out of her property and you ask for what? for not having a printout of the groupon voucher for the service. and this is after i initiated to email it to her on the spot. I am still shocked from the experience.<br>
