I attended the Primary School Winter Sports Festival hosted at Saheti School on 3 June 2023. The only vendors serving food at the function was Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill. At one point during the day, I started to queue in the payment queue. The Venue was very busy, and the queues at the Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill stalls were very long, around 18 to 20 people in the queue. As I got closer to the servers, I noticed that they were calling out for people with cash, to come to the front of the queue. People paying with cash were getting to jump the queue, and they were being served in front of the people in the queue who were paying with Credit or Debit cards? This is extremely frustrating and annoying business practice, why am I and other people at the venue who only have credit or debit cards to pay, being treated by Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill in this manner? How does Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill justify this behaviour. Surely, all patrons must wait in one queue to be served, regardless of how they are paying? I would like a Manager or owner of Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill to explain to me, why I was patirntly waqiting in a queue, while other people were allowed to push forward, and order and collect their food before me, just because they were paying in a different way to me? I raised this question with the servers once I got to the front of the queue. I was given no explanation for this practice, as well as being told in a rude and nonchalant way that 'They were paying with cash'!!! I obviously then declined to order any food or drinks, and I left the queue. I called the Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill to raise a complaint with a manager on duty. I was told the manager was 'Busy', and I thus left a message with my name and number, to please be called. To this time of me writing this review, now that I am home, I have still not had a call back from a manager or owner at Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill. I am extremely disappointed with Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill, as myself, my family and my friends have supported and patronised the family owned Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill for many, many years. Especially by patronising Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill just as the Covid restrictions started to lift, and especially by making an effort to patronise Edenvale Fahrenheit Seafood and Grill right after they re-opened after the fire in February of 2022.
