It is unusual to receive first world levels of service in our, at best, third world country, taking into account the dismal failures of our municipalities and the governing party. What an exceptional pleasure to deal with an organisation which truly takes pride in their work. Give those people a Bell's! Shout out to Stephen, Aaron, Edward and the rest of the team who make the world a better place.
Shout out to Nigel, Bernard, Julius, the kitchen staff and the rest of the team at Fandango's Three Rivers as always friendly faces, well presented quality food at reasonable prices and excellent service. Well done guys and girls!
On the 10th October, I mailed an International Registered package from the Three Rivers Post Office in Vereeniging. The lady at the service desk advised me that expected delivery of the package would be approximately 10 working days. Seven weeks later I began a process of enquiry as to the whereabouts of my documents and was advised by their customer services department that it had not yet left South Africa as a result of "a huge backlog at the Johannesburg International Mail Sorting division (JIMS). Subsequently, as at today's date (15th December) I have yet to receive a reply from the JIMS customer services department despite 4 emails repeatedly requesting feedback as to the whereabouts of my package. This is a shocking situation as the package contains sensitive documents (my elderly mother's original birth certificate and expired passport sent for purpose of renewal) and we have now exceeded the 90 day window for application as set out by the UK passport authorities. Had I been advised honestly as to the expected delay in delivery, I would never have sent these documents from the Post Office but would rather have spent an extra hundred rand on courier services. Not receiving the service level promised is one thing but an absolutely insensitive attitude to polite requests, and ignoring my enquiry as to when I may be able to uplift my documents from the JIMS offices in order to enable me to make alternative arrangements is unforgiveable. To Samantha and Tshepo at JIMS, whoever you may be, I would love to be able to have a private conversation with you in order to express my extreme dissatisfaction at your deplorable level of non-service and downright rudeness. Unfortunately there is no option to submit a star for zero in terms of service delivery so I have had to give you a 1.
