Recently, I have been receiving two or more pre-recorded calls from this company every morning. They do not have my consent to do this. In the interests of having myself removed from their database, I requested to speak to a consultant. I asked the consultant to remove me from the database and he said that he did not have the authority to do so. I informed him that he had to honour my request or transfer me to someone who could. He also refused to give his name and when I informed him of my intention to take further action in line with the Consumer Protection Act, he hung up the phone. Why are these companies given free reign to use personal information as they choose. It is harassment.
