A new customer to Knysna's licensing, repair and service industries, I was in a pinch two weeks' back when the testing center found that my rear brakes were out-of-spec and so my vehicle couldn't pass roadworthy. (My vehicle required a roadworthy certificate prior to my renewing it's licence which was already 9 days' overdue by that stage.) The visible mechanics in the area were fully booked on this Monday and couldn't assist me. I couldn't return another day to Knysna as I live a distance away from town. Then I discovered Kloppers Service Center, an unassuming business at the end of Waenhout Avenue. Despite being busy with another job, Henk arranged to look at my vehicle 10 mins hence which he and his team did. It was not an easy job as I witnessed. Four men, including Henk, worked on my car for an hour in the chilly Winter's air till they had adjusted the brakes just right, according to the testing centre's specs on the report I'd been given. I was anxiously anticipating a hefty bill judging by the amount of work that had gone into the brake adjustment, and by the fact that many automative businesses tend to overcharge us ******** female vehicle owners, but Henk refused to accept any payment for his good service! My vehicle passed the roadworthy immediately once I returned to the testing center after the brake adjustment at Kloppers Service Center. I was thus able to renew my licence online that same day once the completed roadworthy reflected on the eNatis system. I will definitely support the service center at the end of Waenhout Avenue in future. It appears to be run and owned by an honest, hardworking and knowlegeable gentleman.
**DO NOT USE NICHE ONLINE** Azam (Azi) is a ****ster and is currently being investigated by Cybercrimes Division and the FNB ***** Department! He has ****med one too many clients including me. See below how my story unfolded.. Niche Online's guise of respectability comes from Azi's professional-looking webpage, WhatsApp Business Account, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles as well as him being a registered PayFast merchant. Niche Online's physical address of "The Michelangelo Towers, Nelson Mandela/Sandton Square" according to their website does not even exist. I ordered and paid (via PayFast) for an A53 phone on the 23rd Nov. I immediately received an automated order confirmation from info@nicheonline.co.za and a payment confirmation from Payfast. Azi phoned me on the 29th Nov claiming that the A53 has been discontinued and he is looking into "upgrading" my order to an A54 and he would phone me back the following morning which he didn't do. I tried to reach him on several occasions after that (1st, 5th & 6th Dec) but he did not answer my calls until the 7th Dec. He said I must give him one or two days to sort things out. Azi does not even reply to Niche Online's WhatsApp Business Account messages. His business phone was off the entire day of the 11th Dec. I eventually got hold of him in the evening using his other cell phone number (that he had phoned me from previously). He said he'd phone me back by 9am the following day to let me know whether or not he can deliver the promised A54 this week (before Fri as the 15th is a public holiday). If not, I have asked to be refunded in full to which he rep**** that "PayFast takes weeks to pay"... Will Azi phone me by 9am tomorrow to arrange delivery of my A54 by Thurs 14th, will he refund me in full ....or not? TO BE CONTINUED...
