My father bought an electric and gas freezer from this company online with conditioned specified as shop soiled (as per their documentation - minor dents and scratches). After a long process with Gas and Solar, the unit was returned to Gas and Solar appliances (in Gauteng). They have refunded my mom (as my father passed away during the course of this process) R5 580 of the original R7 200 payment made. May mom lives in the South Coast of Natal. Our complaints with the unit was damage to inside panelling – as per photos we sent (their invoice said shop soiled meant minor dents and scratches). Secondly, there was an electric spark when we plugged it in and it tripped our DB board. After that we were to nervous to try it again in case it would cause worse electrical damage. Upon receipt back of the unit Gas and Solar deducted a handling fee (as they said they tested the unit and found it working in good order) and did not refund the original delivery charge. They did not reply to our complaint about the panelling. Although I appreciate the partial refund, I am unhappy that they did not refund the full payment made as none of this was our fault or negligence and only served to be a huge inconvenience and struggle in an already difficult time.
<p>Expected that if I paid more for my rental, I would not have sneaky extras on top of my bill.</p> <p>What's worse is that when I politely ask the service rep to answer my query they put me on hold indefinitely and do that a 2nd time when I phone back. Wow!!</p>
