Disapointment cruise on the MSC Sinfonia
I booked a 3 day Mosselbay cruise a year ago and was very exited to go on the 17th of February 2023. Because of stong winds, the trip was shortened with one full day because the MSC Sinfonia could not get into the harbour on that date. On the 18th of February, the MSC Sinfonia docked and we could start our cruise to Mosselbay but nothing happened. We were on the ship in the harbour and our first night was spend with a harbour shipyard view and the noise of containers from our balcony room. Aventually we left the harbour on Sunday morning but not to Mosselbay as intended. Instead, we only had a day cruise to Saldanha bay and back. By Sunday afternoon, we were in Cape Town harbour again with the terrable harbour container view and there we were forsed to spend the night on the ship because the disembarkment was only sceduled for Monday morning. In total, we were on the ship for 2 nights, both nights in the harbour and we were on the ocean for only one day from dusk to dawn. I paid R10800.00 for a 3 day ocean cruise on the ship that die not happend. I did complain at the front desk but all the lady said was that it is not their problem and the 3 day cruise was not guaranteed because of weather situations and with that, I agree, but comensate me then for the day I lost and for the inconvenience of the harbour noice and terrible containner views that was suppose to be ocean views. I tried to post my complaint on their facebook page but they keep on taking my postings off their page. I complained on their website but no response whatsoever.

Expensive cover charge
Last night we came all the way from Paarl to have a drink at Striped Horse only to find out about this rediculess R50 cover charge. I wondered why there where only a few people inside and then I realized it's about the cover charge. We left and we will never go back again. We use to drive out there twice a month because we thought it was such a cool pub, expensive but cool..... Now we have to pay a exstra cover charge after we drove 70k's to get to Striped Horse... !!!! No no, never again. There are other better beach pubs also in Cape Town. Striped Horse is now history. (Sorry to say)
