On the 22nd of June 2025 I visited Makro to return the camp master shoes I bought 21 March 2025 as they were damaged. I was assisted by the manager Alfred who was so unprofessional and doesn’t understand what is customer service at all. Firstly he didn’t bother to proper great me and introduce himself . Secondly he informed he has no idea how clothing department work and he called two people in front of me to find out and I was wondering why he came to assist me if he clueless on how clothing department work, thirdly after making calls he was still not sure what he needed to do and said I need to wait 21 days as Makro need to send the shoes to the supplier to assess the shoes and he is not sure if there is a warranty on the shoes. Fourthly he told me about 14 days return policy which doesn’t apply on damage goods. Lastly when I told him I can’t wait for 21 days as my son need to use the shoes as we going for a holiday, he told me I can’t buy shoes for R550.00 and let my child wear them daily and be in good condition. I lost it when he said this as he had no right to assume that my son have one pair.I was very upset with the was this guys spoke to me and lost my temper and he then said if I continue to raise my voice he will walk away and leave me and shortly he did. I’m wondering if he was going to assume the same thing is he was dealing with a different race. This guys is damaging your brand and is so clueless on how he must deal with clients. I was willing to do an exchange but after this treatment I was so upset, I visited the shop again on 23rd of June 2025 and ask for my money back. I don’t thing I will buy anytime from Makro and i will share this with my family as we support Makro a lot and buy a lot of camp master products .on the 23rd I was assisted my Dinah and Diona who were excellent and I could tell I was dealing with someone senior.
I just receive a horrible service from KFC sandton city from one of the senior staff member the way he spoke to me was unacceptable and uncalled for. He doesn’t represent your brand and when I shared the experience with my colleagues they were not surprised as they’ve experienced this also. Please let your area manager or owner to call me, I’m not prepared to talk to anyone from the store as I feel my query won’t be attended to or taken serious.
Kindly assist with the following, I bought a TV with house and home 2014 and then shortly join the debt review and paid my account until I felt that I was financially stable and can afford to continue and pay my debt on my own. I cancelled the debts review process and continued and pay my account off and is 2018 I resign from the company I was working and received a lump-some payment and I was in the position to pay all my debts. I tried to contact house and home and they were unable to pick up my account. As the result I couldn’t settle my account. I continued to contacted house an house multiple times they couldn’t pick up my account with my ID or other personal details and I even tried to send emails to them and they never responded . They kept on informing me that they can’t pick up my account with the ID and this put me in a very difficult position as I couldn’t pay my account. I also never received any corresponded for my account and statement ti show how much was outstanding . I then approached the company that was assisting me with the debts review (debt rescue) and informed them that all my debts are all paid and except house and home and if they can assist me and issue the clearance letter . They refuse and informed me that they couldn’t issue the clearance letter there is nothing they can do to assist? I need to deal with house and home. This has course such an inconvenience to my life and affected me so badly as I’m the single parent and have so much on my plate. I couldn’t clear my name and fix my financial status.The sad part this account doesn’t even appear anywhere under my credit record. After complaining so many time and trying get the information from house and home for 10 years , calling them almost daily and trying to get the settlement letter , they finally manage to pick my account toward the end of last year and gave me the name of the attorneys my account was handed over to who also never tried to contact me. I was not happy with that fact that i was never contacted and when I tried to contact house and home they couldn’t give me this info for 10years. I then tried to contact the attorney and they also struggle to pick up my account with my ID and referred me back to house n home. I had to make over 10 calls to house n home again and they finally picked up my account two months back and told me the reference I had to use when I call the lawyers. The lawyer then informed my account was handed over and I need to make the arrangement with them and pay the additional fees for the lawyers. The problem I’m having now I’m unable to settle the account at the moment as I don’t have access to the money and cannot even make the loan, And this has affected my financial status as I’m working for the financial organisation and they flagged my account and I couldn’t even apply for the staff loan with them because I had to produce the clearance letter first and the review company refused to assist me. House and home expect me to settle the account now and pay the additional fees while they failed to communicate with me and when I reached out they were useless. My concern are as follows: 1.I was never contacted regarding my account 2 I tried to reach out for years and they couldn’t pick up my account with my ID number,account number or other personal details. 3 This account is not reflecting on my credit record 4 I feel the house and home and the debt rescue failed me. 5. The process for handing over the account was not followed and if they did can they show me the communication . 6. They never responded to my email or even try to contact me regarding this account. 7. I’m not willing to settle this account as I feel they really inconvenience me and frustrated me all along and now I need to settle the account because they finally found my details 8 I’m even willing to take that to the consumer ombudsman if they continue to fails me. Hope the above is in order and you will be able to assist me.
I would like to report a horrible service I received from this company, I joined debts review in 2016 and ever since it has been a horrible experience If only I knew was not going to opt for debts review as it didn’t assist me but only put me to the worse situation then I was before joining. Half way through I decided to pull out as I realise that this was not assisting me and I could afford to pay my debts. I sent an email to them requesting to be removed as I could manage to pay my debts myself. They told me I can withdraw but however I will not be able to get a Clearance letter until all my debts are paid in full . Fast forward to last year I raise some money and paid all my debts except for one house and home account I couldn’t find a paid up letter. I tried to contact the service provider multiple times and even sent a couple of email but they told me they can’t pick up my account with the ref number or my ID. I then reverted back to debts rescue and informed them of my situation and sent all the paid up letters for all the other accounts I used to have. They informed me to complete the indemnity form and send it back for them to remove the account and proceed with issuing me the clearance letter. I completed the form and sent it back only to be told they can’t proceed and issue the letter because the management doesn’t approve they need to reach out to Shoprite. This has been a nightmare and I regret dealing with this company and joining the debts review . I would like to warm everyone who is thinking of doing the debt review especially with debts rescue to not proceed. This had inconvenience me a lot and putted me in the worse financial situation then I was before. If only the terms and conditions were stipulated before signing up I don’t think I was going to join and I just wish they can just improved the way they do things and have a clear communication and stop trying to find a way to not issue the clearance letter. If only they can make the process to withdraw or clear my name simpler and easy like it was to join. If only they can have a clear process.
On the 12th of Dec 2022 while walking out the store, Mduduzi Khumalo the security guard wrongfully and in the most demeaning manner accused me of stealing a pack of grandpa, which I happened to have bought 4 days ago from the date. It so happened that when walking out the store, the door alarms went on, I stopped like any other client, went through our bags (myself and colleague) to see what could be the issues. I took out the pack to say to the guard that, maybe it could be 'this', knowing very well that I bought there, as I work in the mall. Here are the events that occurred after. He requested for a receipt, I explained that they were bought days back and I do not have it. He then asked me, what should happen. I continuously expressed that he check the box (wear and tear) and that some sachets were used. I asked him why was I not stopped when walking in the store when the alarm went off, he replied by saying that they only check/search when going out. And that whether some sachets were missing has nothing to do with him (KEEP IN MIND THIS IS HAPPENING BY THE STORE DOOR, WHERE EVERYONE IS WATCHING) Now looking for a solution, we ask this man, what needs to happen as this was now wasting my time and I did not appreciate the attention. He says that as long as the alarm beeps, it means I had stolen the goods and if I left the goods with him to go check the camera if he needs to, I will be arrested, keep in mind while saying this he is waving his handcuffs in my face and people take videos and pictures. Asking again what is the solution? he now says "MY SISTER YOU TELL ME AS YOU CAN SEE WHATS HAPPENING, I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU". My issues: 1.I asked him to check the camera's of me walking in till I got out the store - He refused 2. He is asking me what should he do, when it is his job, as if he is hinting for a bribe. 3. He blatantly disrespects his supervisor in front of clients I then walked away to ask for the store manager seeing that Mr Khumalo was not giving me a solution. I was met by Clive (store manager) and the security guards supervisor, who wanted to go check the camera, but after observing the box, they realized the box was old and it could not have been from the shelf within the time I was in the store. They asked him to apologies, which he did after arguing with his supervisor for not wanting to apologies and making a joke of the matter. He wasted my time, failing to check the box and embarrassing and me. 2 Days later, Mr Khumalo saw it funny to point, laugh and make patronizing remarks towards me and my colleague regarding the incident saying we think we are white people. It upsets me that, had I probably offered a bribe when he asked me for a solution, I wouldn't have gone through such, how many other people pass through with stolen goods with such mannerism, or clearly if I were a white person I would have been treated better. I work in a service related environment and I understand we all have processes to follow, I also know there are difficult clients from time to time. This makes the AMST security look incompetent, I suggest you check your stocks when he is on duty. I am requesting a formal apology that expresses acknowledgement of this incident and how he will change his ways and stop undermining black women.
I tried to book a flight ticket two weeks back for my sister and I got an error message on the travelstart website buy the money was deducted twice on my bank account. I've been trying to contact them via email and phone but they are unreachable and keep on redirecting you to the WhatsApp chat that is so useless for me. Please don't ever use this agency to book a flight ticket or refer to anyone as it is a complete nightmare, have a terrible customer service and unreachable. You will only receive an auto email back when you try to contact them , this has been an big inconvenience for me and I regret using their website.
I visited Midas Rivonia shop and bought the service part and they never packed the air filter. I then returned and spoke to one of the ladies she told me I need to wait for them to do and stock take and then they will decide whether they will refund me or not.I’m really disappointed am I don’t think I will even buy or refer anyone to Midas .This was such an inconvenience to me me because I added up buying a new air filter as I waited over two week for them to do a stock take.They didn’t even bother to contact me to update me. Until this day I’m still waiting for their call and the worse part I had to suffer because of their negligence and the lady I dealt with was so rude and made me feel like the mistake was my fault.
I rented a flat at Germiston under Mafadi Property and I had to move out end of October after serving my notice I was told I will receive my deposit after 21 days. I didn't receive any communication until end of November and I decided to do a follow up with my caretaker and she referred me to the property manager Tonde who was very unhelpful and so rude .He told me to send him a message and he will only attend to my query the following day as he is not at the office. The following day he didn't get back at me and I sent him a message hoping he will reply and he didn't .On the third day after sending him an message and getting no reply I inform him I will escalate now because I'm not getting any help from him, he reply with the message saying `it is well within my right to do so '' and he supplied me with the office number .I feel that Tonde doesn't deserve to be a manager as he doesn't know what is customer service at all and doesn't even know how to talk to people .He is such a disgrace to the company and I don't think I will ever rent a flat or refer someone to Mafadi Property.This is such an inconvenience and I don't know what to do anymore to receive my deposit.
I visited cardies at mall of Africa on the 13 February 2020 to buy balloons as it was my brother in-law birthday.I rushed to mall of Africa to get some ballon and Champaign before going to the dinner.As I was approaching the door I realize it’d was closed and when I checked the time it was 19:44 and I asked the security lady at the door why are they closing early and she replied with the attitude and told me to go and talk to the manager.I went inside and spoke to the manager and ask why are they closing early she was also so rude and told me they are using public transport and need to close early to rush for their transport.I always buy from cardies but have never receive such a service and as for the manager ,I don’t think she deserve to be in that position,the way she spoke to me and address me its was unprofessional and so rude and I felt horrible but I proceeded and bought the balloons.the worse part about everything is that I found a couple of clients outside who also insisted to be assisted after I spoke to her. she was busy passing remark in front of those clients and bad charting me in front of her staff.The reason I delayed to post was because I lost my phone after this incident ,but I feel that I was treated unfairly as a client.
I bought a fridge in June and it didn’t want to work from the beginning and when I complained at house and home they sent a technician to fix it after waiting for the whole week.The worse part the fridge broke down again for the second time today 12 November and it’s very frustrating me because I bought grocery already and now it will get damaged.I regret buying a hisense product and I don’t think I will ever buy or refer someone to buy any hisense product.
