I am floored with the laziness and unfairness Every claim mind you it's been only 2 in its whole lifetime of the policy and every claim I've had to fight the rejections that were i founded. I'm tired and very disppondent. All evidence and information can and has been presented however here I am, Nedbank insurance is a **** and serves to rob us of our peace and dignity. I fixed my roof after they declined to stating is wear and tear, but they won't fix the ceiling, I mean what is this. I am highly irate and livid soon to be ex cistomer if this is not addressed
where to start, bought inverter, solar panels and battery from these guys, the battery is faulty -returned it mid May 2025- to date I am still waiting for the battery. Needless to say through all this there is little to no updates, I have to follow up and when one does met with such condescending and attitude riddled lack of service. I am still waiting and all I want is my refund if I could return all their items, as they do not care for customers- or maybe it's a certain kind of customer they chose to disrespect like this. As I sit I don't have battery and or my money back - no response my calls are unanswered and when they are its we will take a message. So be warned about after service when dealing with this company, its non-existent or like I said maybe for some people then.
Hope this serves to assist someone out there looking to do work with the company. As I only hope the same would have been granted to me before engaging with her from SA Homeowners mag where she has featured once or twice- as that becomes her point of reference when engaging with her for the first time, which does leave one impressed and with a sense of some assurance. I came across Mapudi business online and was impressed with her work. I rang her and arranged meeting for assessment and paid the necessary first consultation fee. She arrived and we spoke and she had wonderful ideas. All went well and we agreed on a concept. This all began in July 2024, I paid an initial 80% an amount of R74K odd, on the back of an invoice of 80K odd. The project went on for over 3 months, project was mor or less 60%/70% complete at the said point, workers would come late and leave late, and it came to a point where I pushed for them to complete as I could not longer deal with worker in my house for such an extended period – especially given we had agree on a time line and they were way over by months and still not completed. All was fine with the exceptions of the issues raised. In my excitement of trying to support black owned business I referred the same to another person. Needless to say to date my project is still not complete there are still issues prevailing on my project and furniture items not yet delivered and missing, dressing table its chair, lounger in bedroom and other fixes in bathroom bedroom makeover that were never delivered or completed. I agree have not paid the balance of the invoice as I am also awaiting the completion of the project- I even reached out in Jan 2025 hoping to have the business owner acknowledge the matter, and come and complete the project thereby allowing me to make the final payment, I am being ignored and suspect am blocked as my call not going through. Let me tell you the person I referred sits in the same predicament I feel bas as her project was worth 10X mine and she has paid over 90% of these and sits with also more incomplete. She too is blocked by the owner/owners. What’s ticked me off is that I tried to mediate the matter between the two parties as I felt responsible this is when I realised, we may be dealing with someone who thinks they are a “clever”. We were introduced to another lady and told she is the partner/owner (of which this was never the case at inception) promises were made and yes never met. To date we both have not heard from the lady we have known as the owner Mapudi and have been left with projects left incomplete no explanation or updates. It is sad and disappointing as we hoped we would be uplifting another black owned business and genuinely liked her work in spite noting that she used cheaper products, temu items and I can only presume subgrade tiles/ products ( you can take me up on these we have done our homework). We were hoping she would finish the work on both and we could part on a amicable note. However, we were left with egg on our faces. And in all truth I doubt we are the first she has done this too given the way she handled things I suspect there are more of us out there. I hope this helps another person out there – we will take on legal action on the matter as right is right and what she did is wrong- yet she continues to use pictures of our incomplete projects for her adverti*****ts on her platforms- the audacity of it all. Be safe guys when using these so call renovation companies – do your research, and lets call out bad practises and forward each other. As I went to the location of her shop in North riding( 80 Design Blvd, Northlands Deco Park) as part of my due diligence and she has a store there. We are busy with legal matters and hope to be compensated for our losses. Be warned. I placed an order in Jan 2025, it was delivered timeously. Only it was incomplete, I raised the issue with One day Only via their platform. Which is a little frustrating as you at the mercy of hopefully a competent and quick aid on the other end asthere is way to call them. After several emails one which I shared with same consultant that the same special was ran over the weekend, yet I'm told they cannot procure the missing item on my order due to supplier stating they are out of stock. Yet a week later the same promotion is enlisted, same brand price etc, and I'm told that it's a different supplier, and option is to refund me an amount I'm not sure where it's thumb sucked, as I cannot afford to but the short item with the refund. As I write this I am still waiting on a response. Sometimes it's painful and a rad exhausting to have to fight for what's right, but here I am waiting still going for a month since order date and no resolve.
I have never had such a horrible experience from receptionist to the grounds staff, with exception of a hand full of folks. Took me back to racial profiling and border racisist behaviors. Charged for a mircorcae of est retial price of R600 and yet asked to pay R2K, yet we reported the same when we booked,. The morning after. After a lot of challenges insults hurled audio recording finally we have had our bill retracted so we hope. However find Mol is not a warm place and place. Lacks a lot of hospitality generally. I could never advice anyone to come here honesty and albeit a few tried to make it nice, but it came with fights and forgetting one is on holiday. To say one rested over this break would be a lie as it's was tense and we felt unwelcome forever waiting for some shoe to drop, even if it's unbeknownst to us. It hasn't been a restful trip that. My HOC is with Nedbank, to say my claim.process has been handled well or even handled much is an understatement. I lodged a claim 18 Dec and had to resubmit again on the 19 Dec as I was told my initial one was not fully captured. To this day I am still waiting on my leaking roof into ceiling and floor to be fixed. All I habe got rent is odd call from complaints department advisog me that thry are working within thier desired timeframes/slas. I am at my wits end and I am tired with them. I need urgent help. So I am here again, in all honestly I should have known, my car was in accident last year for which after an upheaval battle of involving Hello Peter, border the Ombudsman, tearing it up on media platforms and to and fro with nonsensical emails with Miway- finally it was approved and fixed-- however my windscreen was not, I sit again with a new fight and I in part blame myself as I promised to change insurance company after my last experience for which their "rejections reasons" we invalid /unfounded- hence the approval now this, funnily I have an approval linked to the windscreen but now I am getting nonsensical stories of rejection I am convinced these guys still do these racial profiling rejection, I am beyond ****ed and livid- but after this I will without a doubt need to find real service driven and fair( non racist or ***ist) insurance company, as I cannot be paying instalments for service only to be bullied harassed and spoken to by cluster of idiots with baseless claims just to get an approval that was in the first place correct. Funnily I even have records of this once approval, so guess it only gets done when a black woman acts the fool Dejavu less than 12 months second time again- If this is not telling you all about their service level-- I am saying be warned it happens and I’m not the first. I wage the battle on as I refuse to accept this for the second time.
Quite frankly I should be give this cimpany anegative rating.however no minus starts. I have submitted a claim it's going for 2 weeks, no response no update. Dealt with incompentant incinsistent customer service updates. Honetsly should have known better than going for a company that had a racial profiling saga to its address of claims. Wonder how I would be doing was my car rendered imobile. I'd be careless for 2 weeks straight with no update or information as to why. Just a barage of incompetence cluster of idiots and apps responses. I'm tired and honeslty beyound reproach with thos brand.can someone assist with legal assistance how I can escalate my issues/claim.
Sadly, I would give them negative starts- I have never dealt with a more idiotic cluster of incompetent non-applying common-sense bunch of help desk than these. Giving them a star is an over reach. It’s been 3 weeks my asking for a paid up letter- even had on consultant ask me to send POP in spite them seeing the payment on their side, as 2 such call confirmed these ( ideocracy has not match here with this call centre) and then another threatened that I would be debited in spited of full payment. In spite wasted time and probably having spoken to 10 different call centre agents ( 1 was friendly and a little helpful) consultants later and all the stunts you get from call centre agent who feel out of their depth and cannot handle their work or have no understanding (i.e put you on hold till you hang up, directing you to their friends, attitudes and plain disconnects) I am still waiting and annoyed. I have never come across what an array of individuals and even bigger kaleidoscope of stupidity and sense of uniform incompetence, I think covdi 19 must have brought al the idiots out to work. but can you please help get help. as I am frustrated and annoyed at this point. have emails to proof. I just want help Paid up letter and balances on the outstanding confirmation is that so hard
