I’m writing this review with great disappointment after our experience at Builders Warehouse Montana Park yesterday afternoon around 2:30 PM. We had a beautiful morning at church and were genuinely excited to visit Builders after renovating our master bedroom. Unfortunately, our excitement was short-lived due to the completely unacceptable behavior of one of the staff members, Ronie. When my husband asked for assistance, my husband greeted him politely and ask him how he was - Ronie just blabber some words back we did not even hear what he said.. Ronie dismissively pointed down an aisle and told my husband to go there no explanation, no willingness to assist. I then observed him helping another customer an African gentleman with great patience, engagement, and willingness. The contrast in treatment was shocking. When I approached Ronie again for help after we struggled to find a specific product his demeanor immediately changed. I politely asked him if he could assist us, and his response was, “It’s right in front of you!,” without even turning to look or offering any further assistance. His body language was cold, dismissive, and frankly, disrespectful. He made us feel like we were an inconvenience and not valued customers. We were treated as if we didn’t belong, and based on what we experienced and observed, we cannot help but feel that racial bias played a role in the way we were treated. This kind of discriminatory behavior is unacceptable in any environment, especially a public facing retail store. We hope management takes this seriously and investigates the matter properly. No customer should feel unwelcome or disrespected regardless of race, background, or appearance. We’ve always enjoyed shopping at Builders, but this experience has left a bitter taste. And we would not return to any of the branches if this is the culture they tolerate.. We urge the store to address staff conduct and ensure fair, respectful service to all customers.
