Elmarie B - below - when you pay into the wrong bank account, the money is returned after about 2 days into your account - the 1st red flag. Took my money in February this year and just disappeared. Afterwards many red flags. Either they write their own (positive) reviews or they fulfil some orders. The 1st option is much cheaper. They operate with website registered overseas. haha
I currently operate 4 ABSA accounts in the name of 4 different entities. About 4 years ago I opened a new bank account for 'my' trust. ABSA FICA'ed the living and the dead. Last year, ?Oct, they sent me an email (maybe it was a sms) they wanted to FICA the trust AGAIN! They wanted to know if my dad, who set up the trust, is still dead. My dad was an ABSA client of that branch for 45 yrs and his estate account was with ABSA. Surely their computer system must know (a) he died and (b) people stay dead.
Compalint 1: Can the FICA system of ABSA not record who is dead? The ABSA FICA system is just so customer unfriendly as most other dealings with ABSA. (more details available)
Fri (6th Feb) I wanted to pay school fees. Internet banking told me: 'Account Suspended' (or similar message).
Complaint 2: Can ABSA not built something into their billion rand computer system that notifies the client when his account is suspended?
I am a CA in public practice. Last month a client could not pay salaries on time because his account was suspended. Same problem (FICA). It was a Saturday and FICA could only be reset by his business banker.
Complaint 3: He had to wait till Monday.
