Selling solar and wind units, take the money but never deliver
ApplyingApplying for a study visum in March 2015, we submitted all required documents and paid the fee of R1300. Our application got rejected because DHA changed the list of required documents without letting anyone know. We had to appeal and pay the R1300 again. It is now a month since the appeal and nothing is happening. The person concerned is from Namibia and is currently studying at The North West University. He cannot get back into the country after the holiday period as his visitors visa is expiring on 7 July. How is it possible that DHA can change the rules without VFS Global being able to tell applicants about it? Why is VFS Global employed by DHA if they have no useful function? Is it fair to expect people to pay again AND create the problem that we are currently facing with the student probably not going to be able to finish his study year whilst his fees has already been paid?

I've lodge a complaint on Wednesday 06/05 and was promised feedback within two working days. I have not received anything as yet.
We have applied for a study visum through Vfs Global in October 2014. This was granted for three months only, pending matric results, which we submitted at a home affairs office as soon as we had it. It turned out that we had to go through the entire application process again. We did that on 20 March and submitted all documents as per their 'documents required' list on their website. The application has been rejected and now they are requesting 'three month's bank statements' (website says Proof of Sufficient financial means - we provided pay slip) and police clearance (for what we have submitted receipt of an application as we have done with another child before). In each instance we had to pay R1350 + R500. Now, to appeal, we have to pay R1700 again. When we submitted the application, all requested documents where checked and was approved to be handed in. Now suddenly, that is not enough. Please help or advise who we can talk to to expose this inefficiency and clear money making agenda.
