I have been a long-time Takealot customer, and I am posting here because there is no effective way on the platform to provide meaningful feedback or formally raise concerns about delivery experiences. In December, I ordered a home sound system that was indicated as in stock and scheduled to arrive three days before Christmas (after a two-week lead time). I even researched the supplier and saw they are based in Midrand — the same city as me. I waited with no updates or movement on the app until the expected delivery date. On that very day, the order status was suddenly changed to “cancelled” due to no stock. However, when checking the app immediately afterwards, the exact same sound system was available again — but at a higher price. I then had to wait an additional three days for the refund to reflect before placing a new order, which only arrived after Christmas. This was extremely disappointing, especially given the timing. Recently, I ordered a cellphone. The system indicated a delivery time of approximately 1.5 weeks. Once again, the supplier is based in Johannesburg — the same city as me. In this day and age, it is difficult to understand how it takes more than seven days to complete a collection and delivery within the same city. Currently, my phone has arrived at the courier facility and is simply sitting there, scheduled for delivery tomorrow. The lack of movement and transparency is frustrating. It makes me question whether I would have received my item sooner had I chosen collection or purchased directly from a physical store. Overall, there appears to be significant room for improvement in stock accuracy, communication, and local logistics efficiency. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that improvements can be made to prevent similar experiences for other customers.
I just wish someone... anyone could help me understand how I am locked out of my email account that I need to use urgently. This after I went through a process of confirming multiple codes through the authenticator app. Now I can't access my mails at all at must simply wait 24hrs? This is not the first time I'm encountering challenges just logging in. I need this resolved so I can move my mails to Google please...FED UP!!!

I’m absolutely appalled by the conduct of Capitec and the way they’ve handled my account. Today, over R900 was debited from my account—despite the fact that I am under debt review. This has left me in an extremely difficult financial position, and frankly, I’m livid. Let me be clear: My debt review application was completed and submitted, and according to my debt consultant, all necessary documentation—including the Form 17.2—was sent to Capitec on the 16th of last month. The account in question had already been handed over to another company, and I was paying them R500 per month before my debt review was formalized. Capitec has no business debiting this account now. I’ve spent over an hour on the phone with Capitec, visited their branch, and I’m still being sent in circles with no real solution or urgency. To make matters worse, this debit has prevented me from collecting my car from the mechanic, which is unacceptable considering I had made financial arrangements that are now disrupted. This is not just an administrative error—it’s a clear failure in communication, and a breach of process that’s caused real financial damage. I am demanding an immediate refund of the amount debited and a formal explanation as to how this was allowed to happen in the first place. This is just 1 of 2 complaints I have against this mkhukhu bank and will not let this matter rest until it's resolved.
Had a great experience shopping with Wootech. My order was delivered within 24 hours of having ordered. Was pleasantly surprised as it took another supplier 4 days to deliver from the same area. Will buy again.
I had a great experience buying from StartMyCar. Part ordered was exactly what I needed and was surprised at the turnaround time. I placed my order online on a Sunday, order was ready for collection the following Monday morning. Brilliant!!
I purchased an item online for delivery from my local Incredible Connection (Festival Mall-Kempton Park) 3-4km away from delivery address on 24/01/22. Tracking showed that the package was collected from store, sent to some warehouse in Sandton (15km away) and has now been "on vehicle for delivery" since yesterday 01/02/22. I was advised that i would be contacted when the driver is on his way to deliver to me (this didnt happen) and to my surprise i now see a fresh new update on tracking this morning indicating that the driver arrived at our address last night at 18:30 but found "no one home" - a total LIE as we are always at home - working from home. Even better is the fact that the destination address on tracking has changed and now shows Vereeneging and not Kempton Park (My Location) For comparison: I ordered a car part from the U.K on Friday 28/01/22. This part just cleared customs at O.R Tambo International this morning 01/02/22 and will be delivered to me this afternoon.... I expected better from a local "reputable" company...I suppose we can point to this as being just another indication of the decaying state of things in RSA now :(
If you see a Debicheck from this company, I strongly advise that you reject – rather EFT your money to them. I owed this collector around R1550.00 for my account. They have now debited a total of R2000.00. Trying to get refund of the money now owed to me is proving impossible and quite laughable really. I sent another email of several other enquiries in this regard to them this morning with bank statements and ID copy attached as requested, only to be advised by Lebogang Mokotong that I need to “write a letter” to provide “reasons” why I should to be refunded my money. Having read other reviews on this company I now accept that I will never get that money back. Protect yourselves. Don’t accept Debichecks from this company...rather eft. Their incompetence is just amazing. Trust rating of 2/10 should tell you all you need to know…. People are scrambling for pennies in this tough economic climate and this company`s treatment of clients who commit to settling their accounts with them is purely unethical.
Been using Arnold Chats since i bought my high mileage Fiat Grande Punto 3 years ago. These are the people who help keep my baby on the road. I always get great professional service from all Arnold Chatz dealerships. Parts are always well priced and they always put in extra effort if it happens that the part you require is no longer available in the country. Their vehicle service is always well priced and spot on when it comes to diagnostics. Would highly recommend them for all repairs to Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Mahindra etc. I say etc because Im convinced theres nothing they cant do. Awesome!!!
Doesnt deserve one star. Please protect your finances and stay away from this app. Yes some people seem to make genuine money off this app but the lack of communication from the developers is appalling. I have enjoyed 0 success with this app since joining and only seek to deregister but this has now become the mission of my life. I invested some money in it now i am not able to get it back. No contact details are provided if you want to query anything and talking to their chatbot is next to pointless. All i want is to deregister and get paid back the money i invested yet there is simply no one to contact from this company in that regard :(
