I went to buy some chocolates for somebody special coz I forgot her birthday. I get to Engen and find Ferrero Roche on the shelf marked for R88.50. I decide to take it, only to find out that when I get to the front, it scanned at R94.80. I call the manager hoping that she can put the pricing at R88.50. her response was that her guy on floor failed to change the pricing that she gave him the previous month. When I asked her to give it to me at that price, her response was that she cannot. I was so disappointed at the fact that I told her that it was her fault and not mine. Isn't it the price you see is the price you pay. So I left the chocolates and went somewhere else.
In 2013, I called Iupac for a quotation on a double wooden meranti garage door. After paying the deposit, the installation was done by them. It wasn't even a month and the door fell. I called Iupac and explained to them what had happened. They had a technician there who said that the door must be replaced because the top panel split in two. After talking to the owner, he assured me that if it fell again, he would replace it. It was two months later and the door fell again. I contacted them again and they were there twice to take pictures of the style of door. When I spoke to the owner, he said that his supplier doesn't have that style of door and he is looking for a new supplier. I have called there a number of times to speak to him and he doesn't get back to me. When I spoke to the lady behind the desk, she said that he is not willing to pay for a whole new door that needs to be replaced.
