Yesterday, I visited the Mall of Africa branch and requested to do a manicure (tips with gelish). I was told that they operate on an appointment basis, which I clearly understood and was willing to book an appointment for the next day or so. However, the lady at the reception was kind enough to let me in since they had an open slot at that time (I only waited for 5 minutes). Before heading into the mani station, I informed her that I had changed my mind, and instead of getting tips, I just wanted the “power gelish” When it was time to do the mani, dear nail tech started s****ing through my nails with a rather hard nail file saying she’s preparing to apply tips onto my nails. I told her that I had changed my request, but clearly that was not noted. I then had to somer oblige and get tips because she had already filed my nails short. Anyways, I made peace with that, but only problem now is, the acrylic wasn’t buffed or leveled properly and I had to tell the nail tech to fix this and that when she is trained to do what she does... it really didn’t seem as if she wanted to do my nails because there was a point where she went to complain about why I didn’t schedule for an appointment (which I was ready to do before they offered me the available slot). Bottom line, my nails hurt, they look terrible and I did not get value for my money.... they do not look like I had them done at Sorbet and I am embarrassed to let people see them.
In April 2014, I was called in to participate in an advert dedicated to the World Cup (theme was Nigeria versus Europe) for GLO Entertainment (or something like that). The call time was 05:00 to 18:00 at the FNB stadium where we endured crappy treatment from the directors, and mind you, they only allowed us to leave an hour after the agreed time of 18:00. Now, as per contract agreement, we are only allowed to claim payment after 90 days. When it was time to claim, I did so and I was told that that money would be deposited into my account that week, but to no avail. I called in the following week and the one after that-same story. They just didn't seem to budge and on other days I'd be rudely told that \you can't log a claim during these hours\". Fast forward to 2016 and I still haven't been paid. My mom even went to their offices 2 weeks ago to enquire about the payment and they apologised and said they'd pay me the next day... two weeks later...nothing!<br> "
