On the 22nd February I purchased a supposedly high quality costume for Barclay and Clegg. The costume was worn exactly three times (never been in water yet) and the elastic at the back tore as did the material. I returned to the store to bring this to their attention in the hope that they may offer to repair the product, or exchange it. Instead I was told that I was lying about what happened to the costume and that it had been washed and damaged by me. While it was frustrating that they would not assist me with repairing the costume it was more upsetting and insulting that I would be accused of being dishonest. When I wrote a polite and detailed email to Barclay and Clegg head office to address it with them I was again accused of lying by them indicating that it had been caught on something and that I had upset other customers. Bearing in mind that the shop assistant Thandi, had proceeded to help 3 other customers while I was trying to address my concerns with her. I can say with my head held high that I have never been treated in such a rude and unpleasant manner. Barclay and Clegg you are an unethical organization.
