On 22nd November 2024 I wrote regarding an issue of a FEDEX employee incorrectly adding the wrong SA Customs Code to products that then required me to pay duties, which was not supposed to happen. FEDEX has not been forthcoming to resolve the issue - even after sending them all the documents THEY requested to prove incorrect Commodity Code.... Since querying this matter directly with FEDEX on 4th October 2024 - no offer to resolve or refund has been received! Can this just be incompetence...?
FEDEX Express was used for a parcel from Thailand to South Africa - the items - all motorcycle spares that use the SA Customs Commodity Code: 8714.93. FEDEX's employee (Hanzel Botes) for some reason decided to split the various motorcycle spares into incorrect commodity codes, which incorrectly then had import duties and VAT added. On 7th October 2024 - I filed a complaint for a refund - to which I was asked to complete certain forms and provide information proving the code was incorrect - this I did with a copy of the Tariff codes. I have since asked for a response from FEDEX on 10th October, 31st October and again on 11th November, copying in Customer service as well as management and have not received a single acknowledgement from ANYONE at FEDEX Express. I'm really disillioned as we used EMS and DHL and have never had this issue before... first & last time using FEDEX
Chris & his team are without a doubt the "go-to" people for quality motorcycle accessories in Cape Town. They will go above & beyond and strive to see customer satisfaction...however make no mistake - they are motorcyclists at heart - and you can see the love they have for two wheels in the way they converse with you. If they don't have it...they will find it - even if it's not a stock items they carry.
I'm tired of constantly receiving sales/spam calls from Mi_Way - no matter how many times I've asked them to remove my name and number from the database...they still call and ask a myriad of questions...when telling the person I work in the Insurance industry...they then want to sell me a Tracker... this is now considered harassment!!
