I rented a property via Properlet in one of their properties at 63 Paul Kruger Avenue. My experience there was horrible. First, we had no electricity almost every week. Electricity for outside building is somehow controlled inside the main house, Properlet would not buy electricity for the main house resulting in outside flats not having electricity. In winter we bath using cold water. Worst of all, the Properlet staff was very rude when you approached them. second, we had no water for 7 days during my stay and Properlet did absolutely nothing and we had to buy water, third, there was no wifi and Properlet did absolutely nothing to fix the wifi. This is the worst treatment ever! and worst of all the staff does not care at all. I am warning everyone to never ever! rent property with Properlet.

Warning- whatever you do. DONT sign a rental agreement with this company. Not only do they ask more than 1 months deposit and the problem is not the rental itself its when you have moved out that you now have to apply to get your refund back. And to top it all off they say in your application to get your own deposit back that it can take up to 45 DAYS!!! how are you suppose to get a new rental if they take this long to give your money back?! Really bad. Dont get caught!

Watch out for Properlet. They do not refund deposits, even after they reviewed the property I rented and everything was deemed to be in order. Two months later and zero response from them.

I'am waiting from end Jul 2022 for my deposit. After countless enquiries and promises from Me L van den Berg, still no deposit. On 18 October 2022 after yet another enquiry I got a sms stating the money was paid to my account. On 26 October 2022 after phoning L vd Berg she told me the money was paid to the wrong account and it was already rectified and will bepaid in before 27 Oct 2022. She told me that she will call me on 27 Oct 2022 to confirm the payment. But still no deposit. Never will I ever rent a place from PROPERLET BLOEMFONTEIN again.

Poor service!!! I would not recommend Properlet to anyone. You call and call and call for answers and you always get the same response "we'll get back to you" and there's never any feedback. Been living in our house for 2 months now where Properlet hasn't made any effort to correct the damages caused by their renters or provide any documentation of their inspections.

We have been renting for just over a month now. Before we signed the contract it was all smiles and being friendly. Since we moved in, with the first call I made, the agent’s attitude and voice changed. All of a sudden, not greeting, saying my name in sigh as if he knows I’m going to ask something that’s going to cause him having to lift a finger and do some work. Empty promises and excuses. He promised to get the place neat for us to move into. It took them not even 3hours, on inspections it was only cleaned and not made neat as he promised (carpet is heavily stained, cracks in walls and tiles, grouting of kitchen and bathroom very dirty and stained, which he also said will be done over again). Really doing things in an unprofessional manner, like messages giving you your amount to pay at the end of the month, then after payment they realise they never took the digits at the water meter and sends another message with the same amount (that’s already paid) + the water bill. When called just to confirm, the agent treats you as if you are going to refuse to pay or like a criminal, not even apologising for their lack of communication and tardiness (sorry for this, but that’s the word that better fits the situation). I asked him if I can get the details of the owner of the place, he immediately replies asking regards to what, not even greeting me. I’ve sent him a voice note saying I think we will have better luck getting the place more neat if we arrange things personally because I don’t think he has time (because it’s been 4 weeks of empty promises and not getting back to met about cupboards and a tap outside). He simply just does not reply. Anyone have any advise?

Was happy in the beginning but when it was time to leave I had to get my Legal Aid involved due to VANESSA & ABRIE questioning me as to why I want my Statement but ABRIE REPLYING, "do us all a favour than to pay your your areas." I'm well aware what was owing but come on we all don't need to be threaten and when you are ensured the place rented is 100% cleaned with helpers involved on Sunday01 Nov 2020 that you work your butt to ensure, cleaned 100% for the rented place to have the full deposit but receiving a Pro Invoice from PROPERLET of renovations R2 300, really guys, in times of COVID you think you can just allow to be treated in this manner, all proof of default's reported to them and noted. Be careful how people can take your rights and think they can email and talk to you in a ton you are ****!!!. Very disgusting, actually belittling a person and thinking they did a favour for me when my spouse lost his job and myself receiving a cut salary, part payment's where made and agreed with both parties of outstanding's. We all know when moving into a place , nails in the wall does not cost R2300, come on who are we fooling??I am mother of two and how the COVID has hit us rock bottom I have nothing to hide. Allocations of payments, refunds are not even reconciled accordingly, how can you debit from you DEPOIST and then credit, so this does even show refunded? Promises where made from PROPERLET of forwarding STATEMENTS ect , its not for a tenant to request to follow up of account. VANESSA how you think you can treat a person that RENTED from other agencies for years and not only from PROPERLET, to make a statement of when keys handed over already on the 3 Nov 2020: REPLY BACK "Please Note Abrie Is Currently Busy Finalizing A Lot Of Tenant’s Rental Deposits And It Does Take Time.This Process ( Which Include Final Inspections, Quote For Damages, Repairing, The Transferring Of Deposits, The Administrative Part, etc ) Starts Around The 10th Of Each Month And Usually All Is Finalised Around The 20th Of A Month If There Is No Unforeseen Problems As The Contractor Has To Repair And Finish The Job. All These Processes Must Be Kept In Mind Please. Please Be Patient And Wait Your Turn. You Are On The List And We Will Make Contact With You Regarding The Current Arrears Still Owed If Any Remains After The Complete Finalization Of Your Rental Account. Unforeseen Problems As The Contractor Has To Repair And Finish The Job - was for sure R2300 you stole from my family. Please future tenants BEWARE, Moved out # November and only today 15 December 202 Statement and PRO INVOICE OF RENOVATIONS/Cleaning , what LOODECRIS.. How they treat people who are honest and are treated in this manner...
