We rented a villa in Bantry Bay for R15k for the weekend. We asked if we could check in at 2pm. They said that the check in time is 3 pm. We had travelled far and were very tired. We had a late lunch and arrived at 3:30 pm. I asked the cleaning staff why they were so behind and they said that the owner had been there and he checked out late. On our arrival the cleaning staff were still busy working. We entered the villa with dustbin bags and ******* on the floor that is still being swept up. The aircons were not working well. Seems the gas was not filled up. I asked about this and the staff had no idea how to work the aircon. The main room had no duvet on it and no towels were in the main bedroom. At 4:30 pm the smell of human sweat was still lingering in the apartment. I tried several times to call someone but Friday in cape Town is like deaths door. To top it all off when I opened the drawer in the main bedroom, only to find a ********. How is this fair. I would question properties being managed by this company next time. Propr is a joke.

I booked with Propr in December 2023 and checked out on the 2nd of January 2024 (Stayed on 35 on main, Cape Town). I forgot a few clothes in a drawer in the apartment I was staying in. 1. I contacted them via whatsapp asking about the clothes. A person called Nathalie responds and says they’re not there and nothing was found by their cleaning team. I then come the following day telling them that I am 100% sure the clothes are there (also describing where they are exactly). I then get a response that my clothes are found and can be collected from their offices in Somerset Square in Greenpoint, Cape Town and that I should arrange for collection (Signed at the end ‘Guest Experience Team at Propr‘) I then send a friend to go collect the clothes. He goes there only to come back empty handed with reason that they said they could not find the clothes. Angered by this, I text Propr on whatsapp telling them that this unacceptable as I asked him to go there for the clothes and he instead got his time wasted. Additionally, I don’t think it is fair to have our stuff mixed up with other people’s because now seemingly we might not get all the clothes we left there. 2. Nathalie responds saying their team will contact me once the clothes have been located. I respond telling them that that is not what they said when they told us we may come and collect the clothes. Nathalie then responds “Hi Ekho We will be in touch as soon as we hear back to let you know about the clothes.” …which to me looked like some chat gpt generated response??? -I follow up 2 days later on whatsapp - I get a response that they’re still looking for the clothes and that they have over 500 properties and people leave stuff (signed at the end “Propr Guest Experience Team) -I follow up the following day on whatsapp and I get a response that a manager has been added to the task to see if the process can be sped up(signed ‘Suzanne’) -I follow up 3 days later on whatsapp and they say they will get back to me as soon as they have an update. (Signed at the end ‘Taylor’) At this point I realise that they’re giving us a run around and I call the number on the Propr website. The first consultant on the phone said my friend may come and get the clothes the following day they’re ready- I get off the phone to find out from the friend what time he can go and collect the clothes. When I call back to give the time, the 2nd consultant says they do not know anything about our clothes and she would inform us by morning what was happening, and guess what? they never contacted me. My friend still went and still got nothing- They were saying they can’t find the clothes. I asked to speak to the lady there (Andile) on the phone and asked her to please look thoroughly and that my friend cannot leave without the clothes. She said she’s going to look again. The friend texts me later saying they’re saying they cannot find the clothes. Basically to sum it all up, if you’re to ever forget your belongings in any of Propr apartments forget about getting them back and they’re going to give you a run around in trying to get them. Additionally, there is so much miscommunication in their team/management. That’s it! I’m never booking with Propr again

The Principal of All Pro Prop, Mike Ellis, was managing the rental of one of our properties in Knights, Germiston. He received payment from the tenant for November 2023 and paid us only part of the rental. He kept 11000 rands that he was not entitled to and despite numerous promises to pay the amount over, has not done so to this date.

Worst real estate agents to deal with is PRO PROP. Waste of time. The agent cannot tell me where is the property she made arrangements to meet and view the property she desides to cancel but not tell me I get to where we supposed to meet and call her she says she tried calling but didn't get through didn't leave a message I got no miss calls nothing. Then we had an argument and I said I'm coming to the offices she said yes come gave me an address I get there she's not there either the gaurd says they haven't open for the day I call her several times and she doesn't answer. I don't advise anyone to deal with them.

Hi there, we recently purchased a property via Proprop. Upon getting the keys for the house we noticed that the kitchen was rearranged, the Proprop agent was with us at the time and said that the owner should not have done this (NB: the previous owner hadn't complety moved out as well). We then found a lot of problems with the house and seeked help from Proprop but they shut us down for weeks, stating that they just sold us the house and are not involved anymore. After many emails we managed to sit with owner of the house and Proprop, the Proprop agent then lied to our face saying that the owner did not change the kitchen. We now found out that the roof beams in the house are rotten. Proprop are not willing to assist which I'm not surprised about, I guess we should of realised that it was a mistake to buy the house on the day we viewed it, the Proprop agent made us wait an hour outside the house, didn't know much about the house, told us that the toilet lid was automatic and told us that the house had a jitsuie in stead of a jacuzzi and that we few things where going to stay in the yard.

I guess we as first time home owners should have done more research and should have realised that most people will bull**** you for a sale.

Please don't make the mistake that I have made.
