Horrible Batteries that just only lasted right up until the guarantee ended. Upon contacting the company we where told we lucky it lasted even 6 months with load shedding stage 6. Definitely be wary when purchasing from this company. I wish I had looked at reviews before buying their batteries.

Really poor service. Understandably in SA conditions the life of batteries is impacted by load shedding. I bought four batteries for use in a system with minimal draw in Feb 2023. They knew then as they know now that we experience loadshedding. When the batteries failed 10 months later I was told that its because of loadshedding. This was discussed when the purchase was made, and their estimate of the life of the batteries was well over a year and a half. Now ten months later all they want to do is sell me more of their poor quality products. No reply to my emails complaining about this misrepresentation, no apology either. They just hide behind their claim that there is no warranty on batteries. There are lots of companies doing this work, I recommend any buyers go elsewhere.

The battery in my inverter packed up, and as I work from home, this piece of equipment is vital. No company in Centurion could help. I called PSS and they said to bring it in to them and they would help if they can. It took half an hour, and I walked out with a new battery at a good price. Their service was outstanding, friendly, prompt and well priced. Well done.

Spent a small fortune with UPS/Inverter and AGM batteries. Worked fine at first but then had a 150% decline in battery output on the same load within a very short period of time Where I live we do not get load shedding due to a substation that cannot be switched off. When I bought the set up in March 2022 it could run my fridge and office for about 15 hours. The station tripped earlier this year and it maintained a similar performance since it does not cycle much due to no load shedding. When it tripped again in March this year, I suddenly saw a massive drop to only 1 hour. Thinking it was a fluke I left it there. However, with the weekend's areas outage, I again found that it only lasted 1 hour. This cannot be acceptable. My circumstances are different to the average load shedded user so with very few cycles how can I go from approx 15 hrs in Jan to 1 hour in March with no outages in between? I bought the entire kit, housing included at great expense with the clear understanding from PSS that AGM batteries are the best option and are good for a number of years. Clearly not so. When I enquired all I got was a quote for Lithium and a sarcastic comment about why I need a system if I don't get load shedding in the first place!!!

We purchased an inverter from this establishment in August 2022, we started experiencing issues in November and the unit was booked in for assessment in December. The company than closed for the festive season, after trying for a few days once they reopened in Jan, we were told it's still in the workshop. We eventually received the unit back and the problem persisted so we've been trying to get some assistance. At first we were told that there wasn't any fault (after we clearly saw the report sheet stating that there was a fault) this is happening because of the load shedding. After alot of back and forth(the unit was booked in before we reached severe load shedding, it was once or twice a week), we are now told that this happens with the batteries and there's nothing they can do. We've contacted their head office , to be told the same thing. We even brought up that they lied that nothing was wrong yet there was a repair done(on a 4 month old unit) ... we were advised by management that it doesn't matter because it was repaired and these things happen, there's nothing they can do. After spending more than 10k on a unit that was meant to help us during load shedding... supporting a company that supposed to be so good... we now need to spend another few thousands as their batteries on the units they sell to the public, can't hold the load of load shedding 4 hours a week. It's absolutely disgusting, that companies make so much money on lies, scams and just pure greed. I will never recommend this company, their units are below average and their customer service skills are even lower!

Dont buy from PSS for the following reasons: 1. Inverters they sell are rubbish. You get a feedback on the input. 2. They refuse to acknowledge their junk Inverter is the problem. 3. They never feedback to you. 4. They sell you junk and then want to take it in for REPAIRS when it was sold faulty. 5. They dont care. The system was bought and was sold as a high quality inverter. Just because they rebranded a CHEAP inverter with PSS doesn't change the quality. The Inverter was bought for an elderly person who is on permanent oxygen. Due to load shedding it is important to keep a backup system for the oxygen machine. PSS removed the inverter after seeing it was faulty and promised to fix the issue urgently. 24 hrs later we had to call them only to hear that they were not aware that the inverter was collected. We also had to PAY a call out fee before they would come and check their own faulty unit. PSS ARE A RIP OFF. DONT USE THEM AT ALL.

I bought a sine wave inverter from the EDENVALE/MODDERFONTEIN branch in 2020. Around 7 months ago I took it back as it was running flat quickly. The told me to buy a new batter which I did. When I got home I put the inverter on charge for a few weeks then started to run my tv off of it. After 4 months and all this load shedding started I would use it late evening if we went down and the battery onlly last 50 minutes.. As I PSS is some distance away I didn't rust to talk it back, load shedding only 2 hours and 90 % of the time I was not home. I took it back two weeks ago and get told it is the battery , seriously the battery is not old and has hardly been used. They tell me it only last 500 uses, now we have not had 500 hours of load shedding or they has not been load shedding for 500 times, anyway not they want to sell me a battery that costs almost 8000 rand which is what I Paid for the inverter :-( I took back the inverter as seriously they are just making a quick turn over and guess what, the battery they gave me back does not work ?? They don't give a hoot, i wonder why it does not work? Cause they cant make money from me...We have 3 inverters at work we bought at makro 7 years back and we have not replaced one battery !!! I advise people to go to Makro and builders and stop this company milking the little people!

We bought Inverters and batteries from them with a 1 year warranty. and were told we would get between 3-6 hours backup depending on load. We never got more than 3 hours and after 6 months the batteries had deteriorated to only 45 mins back up. After approaching them with the problem they blamed load shedding and refused even after testing the batteries (Which they said were fine) to replace or credit under warranty. We then sent the batteries for independent testing and the independent partner told us the batteries were faulty!! So we were lied to on top of it. I would highly recommend to avoid this company as they are promoting false benefits as well as selling below standard of faulty products
