No delivery - empty promises - incompetent contractor

I am extremely dissapointed in Derrick Baard - Purespace. I should have checked on Hello Peter before I appointed him.

I appointed him in August 2018. I paid a deposit for the architecture design of a flatlet / domestic quarters on top of my existing garage.

He kept making empty promises on delivery dates. A few months ago, I received some drawings, but it is not good enough for municipal submission or neighbour signatures.

He keeps on making excuses like, computer is broken, or staff needs to be paid to deliver it etc. Now nine months later - I still have nothing and have lost faith that I will ever receive my approved municipal plans.

I made contact with another ex client of Derrick, who indicated that he did get his plans, very late and that he will never use him again. Derrick might tell you a soppy story about the municipal processes taking long and me being happy with the end product. I am not happy at all.
