Very poor quality material, workmanship and service.
Quality Thatch isn't quality at all. Its very poor service, its used timber, its unqualified team. I may advise any one to stay way from Quality Thatch or its owned Etienne. Immediately after thatch roof was erected it was leaking water on the chimney side, after one year few thatch supporting planks have cracked and fail out, thatch started to fail out. After my call to Ettiene he have refused to come and fix even with 5 years promised warranty.

POOR THATCH and most definately not Quality Thatch
Inial owner of Quality Thatch constructed my lapa 20 years ago. Great service tgen, but the owner passed away and business sold to ETTIENE. I contacted the so-called new owner ETTIENE in July 2022 for a quotation to re-thatch my lapa. After many reminders from my side and many promises from him, he is still a no-show in July 2023, a year later. Looking at reviews here, I'm glad that he has not taken money and de-*****ed me like he seems to do to other clients. Be warned, bad or rather no service can be exected from non- QUALITY THATCH. ETTIENE in particular.

Quality Thatch- definitely not!
This is a warning to people in the Empangeni/ Richards Bay areas as well as George, not to use the company called Quality Thatch. Ettiene claims to be the owner and has proved that he is a thief and a fraud. We paid him an 80% deposit of almost R20 000 in Feb 2022 to re-thatch my dad's lapa but after many false promises and no-care attitude, this job was never started. Apparently he has absconded to George, which is why I wish to warn others not to trust this man or this "business". They wouldn’t even refund my dad’s deposit, absolutely disgusting! Very sad when someone takes advantage of anyone in this way, particularly our senior citizens.

Quality Thatch is unqualified touch
Very bad service. I will not recommend to use non-Quality Thatch as your service provider. Company has NO permanent employees, no office and operate from backyard of the bush. Etienne ( company owner uses different subcontractors to do the job. ( three subcontractors have changed during my lapa construction) Subcontractors are not paid for the job and don't want to do the work. So called "company" owner Etienne is addicted to the drugs and completely unreliable person to deal with. I may not recommend to use his service even for free.

They charged my to repair on the work the had done. After a month the top portion of the thatch is coming off. Basically my house changed from bad to worse because of this company. If u want your thatch to be destroyed please get QALITY THATCH. Owner is ETTIENE.
