I bought an Asus Bluetooth gaming headset from Wootware and had to bring in my faulty unit to Rectron Midrand. What happened was that after a few months of use, the clip on the side broke due to faulty workmanship and I had to to tape it up. Nevetheless the unit worked fine for a few further months. The Asus Armory Crate useless software notified me that an upgrade must be done so I plugged in my headset to my PC and updated. After it the unit was bricked. The power light came on but did not operate. This is through the official Asus software. I took in in to Rectron and after constant waiting for emails to be rep**** to, they advised me that the unit would not be replaced due to it being broken by myself. This is bull****. So I told them just to fix it as it was bricked but they stated that they do no cover any software related issues. The manager at Rectron tried to see if it could be fixed but mentioned that he suspected the power port was damaged where the clip was broken which is also incorrect. So from a faulty and failing product, to terrible customer service, then finally to a warranty claim being rejected and blame placed on myself. These are the worst companies I have dealt with be warned.

Rectron had to replace a machine that was supp**** by Cricut SA. Maria contacted me as soon as she got the information. She arranged next day delivery which was ontime and correct. I know millions of parcels are delivered daily but love it when the service is so good. Well cone Rectron and thank you Maria.

- I sent my laptop to Rectron Durban to repair a cracked case. - During repair, the keyboard magically broke and had to be replaced. - Got my laptop back, switched it on, and the speakers were magically broken. So I returned it for another repair. - Got the laptop back again and used it for a few months. One day I tried to play a game I had played before on the laptop. The laptop overheated and died. - Took it to a 3rd party licensed provider of Retcron's for repair. The technician discovered that Rectron never inserted any type of heat protection when they worked on my laptop. - This caused permanent heat damage and the laptop has to be replaced. - Rectron refuse to do anything because the warranty of the repair has expired. - I do not accept this because the work they did directly resulted in the loss of my laptop. I couldn't have known about the lack of heat protection sooner. I want a solution from Rectron.

My mom who is 68 years old purchased two RCT Megapower inverters from Hifi Corporation Pietermaritzburg on the 13/01/2023. One RCT MP-T1000S and one RCT MP-T2000S. After using these inverter trolley's for a few months the RCT MP-T1000S started giving her trouble. I personally went to check on this after a full charge of the unit of about 36 hours the unit would last around 20 minutes pulling only a 42 inch led TV that uses around 120w of power. According to the online specs of the unit it should last around 4 hours. On the 02/05/2023 we returned the unit to Hifi Corp who informed us they would be sending the unit down to RCT for a load inspection. A few weeks later the unit was then returned to us claiming that no problems on the unit could be detected. After a test run in the store of the unit everything seemed to be working fine and I returned the unit to my mom's place. This week the unit started doing the same thing as previously stated and again she only runs a 42 inch led TV connected off this unit that would last around 15 minutes before switching itself off. The unit was returned back to Hifi Corporation today and unfortunately we need this unit repaired (proof of replacement of battery or faulty part(s) or the whole unit replaced or I will be laying a complaint with the National Consumer Commission. Clearly there is a problem with this unit as the RCT MP-T2000S has been working flawlessly from day one. I have spoken to Raphael over email who has been very unhelpful and disrespectful calling me by my surname.

You do know that 1 star rating equates to 20% out of 100% when in fact, 0% is more applicable when it comes to the now R18K monstrosity you service called the RCT Megapower Inverter.... Awfully unfair of me to post this complaint upfront as my initial dealings with Rectron itself was not all that uncomfortable, even though it closely resembled so many other complaints posted herein... this complaint is to warn unsuspecting customers of the mere fact that your hard earned money will be wasted should you acquire any inverter system that runs off GEL and not Lithium batteries, which these RCT inverters mostly run off... Simply put, less than a year ago, May of 2022, we invested in a RCT Megapower T-2000s trolley inverter unit and for the second time, it's failed and will need repairing, in fact, new batteries but me thinks they do not supply new but refurbished batteries. You know, Luke the people trying to sell you reconditioned car batteries on the side of the road.... I now have to cart this very heavy unit from where I stay in Pta, all the way to Midrand where it will on all probability remain there for weeks if not months while they regurgitate the usual battery shortages... Futher to the facts as expressed already, a damaged/used replacement unit was eventually presented to me just a few months ago, not even 5 months ago and here we are, back at it.... Fortunately and according to email correspondence I have, my warranty only runs out on the 11th of May 2023, so I can still have it repaired one last time before they can walk away unscathed... this also means that if one considers the lifespan of these useless GEL batteries, then I would have a functioning inverter for only the next 4 to 5 months max. Yes that right, the money you plan on spending, currently R18K, works out to approx R1058/month as you will be needing to replace it withing 17 months or so if my calculations are correct. Or maybe I was simply one of the unlucky ones you see posting in here about the same thing... With the hope that some of you managed to read this far, I wish to warn against investing in any GEL based inverter system, as it will not last the way you think it will. It's that or the electronics on the inverter itself, do not manage the charging of these useless batteries, thus making them unstable and quick to deteriorate into obscurity.... I.e. you've been duly warned, get lithium if you dare or can afford it... Load shedding seems to be here to stay but these RCT Megapower inverters are definitely not, they will cost you more in the long run as it now means that above and beyond the Eskom bill we paid over the last 12 months, the Inverters approx R1K extra, means we receive no real return on our investment.... In closing and my sincerest apology for the rant, I will be returning my replacement unit for hopeful speedy repair/replacement and maybe they'll be nice enough to extent my warranty but you know as much as I do that that ain't gonna happen... I'm just readying myself for an uphill battle while I wait for them to do what's right.... hope that this is my last post in this regard... Hopeful regards...

I hope I have posted this in the correct place for Rectron. If not then please advise and I will move. I wish to thank the Port Elizabeth team of Jonathan Dunstan and Gurshine Abrahams who helped with the RMA of a motherboard. Without going into too many details I had a faulty motherboard that was covered by a warranty from Rectron. Jonathan and Gurhsine exceeded my expectations in every single possible way. I booked the board in and went back to work. I had barely sat down when I got a call that I can come collect my replacement board. I went back and they tested the replacement in front of me and confirmed that the replacement with still have the remainder of the warranty. I am speechless! What makes this even more incredible is that I could see that the store was very busy, and I was not expecting any feedback till the following day. This post is to thank Jonathan and Gurshine for their excellent service and professionalism! Due to this incredible service from the Port Elizabeth team, I will now always endeavor to buy items where Rectron is the supplier. Well done and thank you once again!

I have been trying to get through to the Rectron Technical Service counter for four days. They take forever to answer calls at Rectron. If they answer and manage to put one through to the Service counter, one of three things happen: 1. The call gets cut off. 2.You hold on and no one answers 3.The call is returned to the switchboard where they take a message - and no one calls back Useless service

We ordered 2 x EcoFlow Delta 1300 from your special on One Day Only. Sadly, only 1 product (2 of 3 boxes was delivered). The other Ecoflow product is missing. When we queried with One Day Only Customer service, they stated that the other product (Ecoflow) is still with you (The Supplier Rectron), and they cannot get hold of you or get the other Ecoflow product from Rectron. Only Day Only makes it seem like it's not their problem, and there is no way to get hold of Rectron. They don't answer their phones, and the email contact form on the website isn't working, so I suppose I just lost R21k! DO NOT BUY FROM RECTRON!!!!!
