<p>On the 13 October 2016, I got hold of Bart Marley from retro music -edenvale.</p> <p>As I have purchased from them before and have never had issues, i was looking to purchase a production studio instrument as a Christmas gift.</p> <p>We discussed a few products and then I came across one I saw a few live dj's and produced use, I sent through images and we discussed the product over the phone and in the shop.</p> <p>He advised me the product would do everything I required,</p> <p>I asked him, can I take the unit as is to a venue and will it work. He said yes it will.</p> <p>I then asked him would I need other software to make it work. He said no it does not require any other software in order to access its full potential.</p> <p>So after confirming by Bart that the product would work and fulfill my needs,</p> <p>I purchased a AKAI APC40 controller from retro music in edenvale, on the 15 October 2016 I received the product on the 19 October 2016.</p> <p> </p> <p>The product was opened over the Christmas season and used twice to attempt to see how this works.</p> <p>The product cannot just be taken to the venue and used</p> <p>The product does not do what Bart advised</p> <p>And an additional R10 000 of software is required in order to use the product to its full potential.</p> <p> </p> <p>I am very upset that I have been mislead with regards to what I have purchased!</p> <p>i contacted Bart on 27 December 2016 and he advised he would make a plan for an exchange and we mustn't worry, he asked us to contact him when the branch opens again on the 23rd January! </p> <p>We contacted him then, he was now no longer willing to exchange or refund. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have been in contact with Bart earlier this year and recently. We have tried being nice and have tried to arrange a solution.</p> <p> </p> <p>He advised he cannot give me a refund or an exchange.</p> <p>The only thing he offered was to "try" sell it to one of his students... which means the product could sit for a year and be used and tested and not sold to any students.</p> <p> </p> <p>I desperately need your assistance, as I have spent R7000 on this product and now his not willing to assist.</p>
