Disgusting poor service
I have the worse experience ever! It was my birthday and my husband wanted to treat me to a 5 star experience so we visited the Rockets Menlyn. We were the only guests there as we arrived at 11am. We ordered drinks and I requested a hooka pipe with watermelon and mint flav. The manager then advised he no longer has those flavours but can mix something else. I agreed. Whilst he was busy, they served our drinks, NO COASTERS, NO WIPES, NO SERVIETTES. we had to then request for it. They brought me the hooka ,it was horrible bearing in mind its R420. The coal was cutting my throat, there was no actual taste of flavour. So I raised a complaint with the manager and he asked the team to change the flav again. The waiter then dropped the hooka head on the table, all the coal fell everywhere, ash in our drinks. Bits of coal fell on my foot, the carpet was burnt. It was a whole damn mess!!!! Eventually I asked them to cancel the hooka because I was just over it. This is extremely disappointing , the service is just absolutely disgusting. Management did not even offer any solution, instead he fled. We then paid and left. I have photos of everything. And would like to escalate this matter to their headoffice and also make social media aware of the poor service at Menlyn. I will never recommend this branch to anyone.

I’m very disappointed and disgusted by the treatment I’ve received from the bouncers at my the Rockets Umhlanga branch We encountered a very disturbing event whereby my mom and uncle were pushed down the staircase by a bouncer called Patrick that works for High Calibre Security Due to this event occurring,I’ve decided to file a doctors report with the injuries we’ve suffered from. Not only are we hurt but the behaviour of this grown man manhandling my family in the public’s eyes is beyond sickening and unacceptable I will proceed to raise complaints with the management team of the High Calibre security company as well as the necessary bodies within the entity

Appalling Service from Rockets Umhlanga
Rockets Umhlanga is by far the worst establishment I've ever been to! I had made reservations prior to my visit to the establishment. Upon arrival I was met by a few hosts at the door, I stated that I have reservation and gave them my name. The hosts began to argue because the table assigned to me had been given away! They then showed us to the couch area, I assume that is their VIP Area. Our waiter approached us with so much judgment in his face, as if we didnt have money or belong there. He then asked me if I know about the "bottle service". I said I was not informed upon making my reservation. Our waiter then said we can only sit in the couch area if we purchased bottles of alcohol, if we don't we must move to the bar area. Bare in mind, we were put in an area that was not even meant for us. Regardless of the bottle service aspect, my intention was to purchase a bottle of alcohol as there was 6 of us at the establishment. My husband then went to another waiter to confirm that the bottle service was indeed procedure and we were not being mislead. Our waiter then approached my husband saying that he doesn't trust him. We have every right to query anything should we not feel comfortable! Nevertheless, we ordered a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka and proceeded to enjoy our evening. All of the waiters and "bouncers" at the roof top looked at us with such judgment because we are Indian and proceeded to mumble in Zulu about us. Just because I am Indian does not mean I don't understand Zulu! As the evening of judgment and ****** went on, we were approach by a waitress who had no dealings at our table. She then proceeded to pull the hookah pipe out of my sisters hand not even informing her why she is doing so, only for the waitress to realize that she is at the wrong table. She didn't even apologize to my sister for her rudeness, she just gave my sister the pipe and laughed as she walked away. Regardless of the way we were treated, we ordered food and ****tails as well. My intention was to spend alot more money at the establishment but due to the ****** and judgment we received I decided to take my family and leave. The same waiter that judged us and treated us differently was awarded a R300 cash tip from us. At the end of my experience, I had decided never to visit the establishment again as I do not believe in supporting ******, profit driven establishments. I would much rather spend my money in establishments that treat being customers with dignity. Rockets Umhlanga Rooftop has the most unfriendly, ****** staff! It is honestly very disappointing.

Rockets Beach Club Umhlanga
The service at Rockets Beach club was absolutely trash. We were a table of 16. Had called and booked a table while in advance. The person who took out reservation was aware we had booked a table on the 3rd floor. When we arrived they told me they couldn't give us a table on the 3rd floor due to the large group. The manager stated they called and failed to reach the person who had booked only to find that they had taken down the incorrect number. The main aim for choosing choosing establishment was their bottomless mimosa. We were told they couldn't service us the special as its only for a maximum number of 4 people per table and under. This major rule is not specified anywhere in their advertising. We requested that they separate our tables and they refused. The manager did not seem willing to assist, his tone was rude. The waiters were worse. Rolling their eyes at our request. We had one waiter that we asked for service as we had ordered drinks and it had been over 30mins and no drinks or explanation. The waiter then told us " but you have drinks on your table" I almost died. Then another waiter came and told us the ****tails would be slow as they only have one bartender and the other didn't come to work. He "suggested" that we ordered a bottle and share it..we didn't want a bottle and how we did not understand how they being under staffed is our problem. Our table was not being cleared. We had side plates and empty glasses..meals and drinks took too long. I am never going back to this establishment nor will I recommend it to anyone.

An amazing place to end the week and enjoy your weekend!
The food was absolutely delicious. I had the BBQ Beef ribs, it comes with chips but i got a salad on the side. The ribs had just enough sauce and they were falling off the bone, would definitely recommend this dish! Im not sure what the ****tail was as the waiter suggested it but it was Gin based and sooooo tasty. For dessert i had the carrot cake and it was moist and so tasty.

Rockets Menlyn Boncers bullies!!!!
The bouncers at Rockets Menlyn are disrespected and bully. This past weekend I was assaulted while they were removing someone from the premises, when I was confronting them, they ganged up on me and pushed me out of the place. I tried to speak to the manager about it, but he was not helping. A celebration with my boys turned out to be a very bad experience. Rockets Menlyn is a nice place with great waiters, but the BOUNCERS AND MANAGER NEED TO CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDE.

Rockets Menlyn Boncers bullies!!!!
The bouncers at Rockets Menlyn are disrespected and bully. This past weekend I was assaulted while they were removing someone from the premises, when I was confronting them, they ganged up on me and pushed me out of the place. I tried to speak to the manager about it, but he was not helping. A celebration with my boys turned out to be a very bad experience. Rockets Menlyn is a nice place with great waiters, but the BOUNCERS AND MANAGER NEED TO CHANGE THEIR ATTITUDE.
