What a horrible experience, and we did check out earlier than what we were supposed to check out. When we got there on Wednesday I went to check in because we weren't sure what time we would get to the Hotel because we were working at the CTICC. Charne/Chandre was very helpful. She was amazing. She explained everything to me. We got to the hotel at 1:30 due to work, the security at the parking lot was asleep, it took 15 min to get into the parking lot. Needless to say we struggled to get into the parking lot because our tag was not working. Then the security had to open for us. We got to the lift and the same story we could not use the lift because of the tag that is not working, the security had to operate the lift for us again. When we finally got to the room our sliding door on the Balcony did not lock. The Friday morning when we all got ready for work, the shower in the one bedroom had a problem. The water came out by the door so the bathroom was flooded under water. Our bath was not cleaned after we had a bath. You could see how dirty the bath is. I went down and asked the lady at Reception Susan if they could please send someone to clean the bath as well as to have a look at the shower. We werent there for pleasure, it was for business to get back into a Hotel room at 8:00 in the evening and then still have to deal with a mess that is not so nice. So Susan informed us with a bit of an attitude, that they do not clean the rooms, I told her that we paid R450 cleaning fee. She said to me that it is for checking out, Wow to say the least, it is daylight robbery to charge so much for one cleaning. But anyway, I asked her if there is anything I can clean the Bath with and she told me they do not have cleaning stuff and she doesn't think they clean the bath with handyandy - This was a shock so do you actually clean the bath after every check out because it really did not look that way. She informed me that she will give me a number of a company that can come and clean, clearly missing the point of staying in a place already paying a cleaning fee and then needing to pay another. The fact that the bath was not cleaned before the time was now our problem. I asked her if they were going to do something about the shower at least, she informed me that there is a mop on the balcony that I can use to clean the water!!!! The fact is it is going to be the same if we use the shower again. We paid for a room with all the availability to use, and now we could not. We were absolutely shocked how she handled it and the fact that no one was going to do anything about this. My husband told me he is not sleeping there again so we checked out. Because you do not get what you pay for and the staff is rude to say the least. Charne/Chandre was very helpful and friendly but Susan needs to find another job because if chatting to her friends at 8:00 am in the morning is better than to assist customers she is clearly in the wrong position.

Below is a review I sent to Rockwell Suites in GreenpointGood morning I have no words to describe my disappointment with the facility at Rockwell Suites. You are familiar with my gripes during my stay at apartment 118 and 510. The list is long. Rockwell hotel is known for its exceptional service. However that was not the case for me on the 22 December 2019 I received the worst service ever from one of their managers Samo. After calling the hotel numerous times to book a slot for wine tasting session for my friends and I. We finally got a 14:00pm slot. We arrive an hour late, when we get to the hotel we wanted to speak to Samo to explain. The answer he gave us was that he is leaving with a very bad attitude, that my friend had to intervene. Now my question is, "is this how Rockwell managers treat their customers" "Is it because of our skin colour that the guy was rude to us". My understanding for customer service is different from the service received from the Rockwell hotel. You don't tell customers you're leaving while they're unhappy especially while being rude at the same time. I must say I'll NEVER set foot at their hotel ever and I'll be sure not to recommend it to anyone I know especially with my skin colour I guess. As I wouldn't want them to receive the ****ed up service from Samo.
