I have just encountered one of the biggest ****s to get easy money. I have booked my vehicle in at Ross Tech as I was in search on the internet for a BMW Specialist as I did not want anyone to work on my vehicles. I have chatted to them via WhatsApp and got an appointment for 19 May 2025 to have my gearbox check and to fix the vehicle. The BMW left my residence on a flat bed just after 7:42am. after 9:08am I received a call from their reception lady asking additional information whereby I then explained to her what is wrong with the vehicle as well as the diagnosis on our machines I have sent it after our call also on WhatsApp together with the diagnosis with the error codes of the vehicle at 11:47. They only the assessed the vehicle and 12:37 I received a call that they don't work on gearboxes and that the gearbox needs to be removed and sent away. I asked the gentleman why didn't he tell me that they dont work on it because I explained to him before making an appointment the reason why I am sending the vehicle to them, The reason I paid a ZAR3105.00 Because they told me they specialize in BMW repairs hence I sent the vehicle to them only to hear that they can only get an appointment elsewhere on the 14th June 2025. I told them that I will sent a flat bed truck again to collect my vehicle as I need the vehicle repaired and why the didn't tell me that beforehand. They invoiced me R950.00 CLAIMING to have done checks which I did not asked for nor signed for. I am writing this so that people who might search them get the real story before booking vehicles with them. I will make other platforms aware as well together with screenshots and invoice pictures. a very good RMI registered workshops normally charge roughly R700.00 for a diagnosis. I ended up having to pay them R950.00 to get my vehicle released. This I am writing and people who do not have the means to sue please file online complaint at the Motor Industry Ombudsman their services are free of charge keep all your prove as they can get the company should they find them guilty of practicing ********* business to fine them for a Million rand or their financial year income. Please lets make others aware of business like this.

On the 2nd April I took my car to these people for Engine oil service. My car only had 1 warning light, which was the due Engine oil service. When I picked it up after they said the service was done, it had a Drive train warning light and I showed them. the guy took my car in again to the back and came back after a few minutes saying I can drive home with that warning light but there's some crack on my spark plug or whatever. Something that didn't make Sense. I told him my spark plugs recently got replaced like 6 months ago and he just said I must book my car in again for Major service. This was a few minutes before they close business for the day and I drove home. On my way home my car got another warming light that I should stop because of transmission and cool down. I messaged these people for 2 days and NONE of them responded to my communication. I am now busy with lodging a formal complaint against them. I don't know what these people did to my car and it was my first and last time taking my car to them.

Man oh man.. what an awesome experience it is with RTA. This is really next level service, here you are treated and feel like FAMILY. Not just a customer. Had a small issue and stopped in this workshop, without making a booking, Jason and his team took all in 5mins to diagnose my issue and have it fixed while I waited! Which I did not expect. There is no workshop like this, they are the best in SA!! As of Friday, my vehicle will never see a BMW dealership again, from here on out, RTA is where I will be for all services and repairs. Jason and team, I have no words to thank you enough and no words to describe how professional and great you guys are, from the receptionist all the way to the workshop, everyone is friendly and treats you like family. I think you ALL could see my face when I left your workshop, extremely thankful that you took the time to sort out my issue without me even booking my vehicle in. Now that is service. I had been overcharged and got subpar workmanship from the BMW MAIN dealership and going to RTA proved that Ross Tech Auto are the best in BMW and Mini. Without a doubt!, infact they are what I would refer to as the REAL Bmw workshop. The dealership could learn PLENTY of things from you guys, 5 stars. See you on my next service and ALL future repairs where needed. Thanks team!!

I was not going to review anything. I was going to move on the moment I had my car towed from this workshop to a more honest and reliable one BUT due to the last invoice I received when my car was released, I have no choice but to give my honest review. My car went in for a major service/repair on my engine in March. Car was fine for a few weeks until it had to go back quite a few times for smoking, coolant and LASTLY oil literally draining out of my car on the road on the 27 June 2023, a few days after it came back from RTA saying that they replaced the faulty part and that the car is fine to DRIVE (take note of this comment) Before I continue, the owner's main reason is Me, a high risk pregnant woman, driving the car too hard LOL. Any educated person knows that if you move your vehicle from one workshop to another, the warranty on what was fixed is forfeited (doesnt phase me 'cause every reason they gave was made sure that it's not related to the work they've already done on my car). I must have been very upset and disappointed in this after sales service to risk having my car moved (that should tell you more than enough). On the last invoice the owner states the following: 1. Oil level low - No Oil in Engine. Funny, I wonder why my car was towed after I highlighted to RTA that oil in my car literally drained the road full on my way home from work, in peak traffic might I add, on the 27 June 2023. 2. Turbo Feed has perished due to age - Oil squirting from pipe. 3. Turbo Oil Return Pipe - Advised to be replaced due to age. Being a bmw customer and talking to this experience bmw specialist. Are you not supposed to check and replace components attached to a Turbo when the Turbo is replaced (one of the major services that was done in March - turbo replaced) 4 - Bearing pieces debris in Oil Filter Hmm, I wonder what might have caused that. 5 - Due to Low Oil Level and Pressure warning - Internal Engine components compromised Hmm, another interesting comment. After the owner noted on the invoice that my Turbo feeds failed due to age (so this confirms that the job was not completed in March, well done on noting that) 6 - Client advised against driving vehicle as is - No oil in Engine This is the best comment on the invoice LOL. No one advised on this. I know i couldnt drive my car, hence it being towed to the workshop, dummy. Completely rubbing their hands clean after breaking my car. I don't understand how you would do a major service and not check all components during a post "health check" Lastly, after going back and forth with RTA, the owner sarcastically highlighted the Consumer Protection Act and that we don't have a foot to stand on because the car is "modified" (an open threat) but the funny part is, they were fully aware and we asked if the car having a downpipe will be an issue. They submitted the claim in March, anyway. Perfect place for new customer, terrible customer retention. Perfect place for odd jobs, would not suggest them for "major service. I would rather lose a warranty than for another person to experience something is horrid.

I took it my BMW which was out of motorplan to these guys for an oil service and my word was I impressed. They’re very knowledgeable on BMWs and the service was quick and easy and efficient. Even their frontline staff were on the money. So if you want to take care of your BMW and want professional service at very reasonable prices and you reside in Cape Town, these are your guys
