I recently used my company debit card to order components online. RS immediately reserved the purchase amount (incl Vat) of R8157-71. This amount was move from my available funds, to the 'uncleared funds' part of my bank account. RS has now dispatched a portion of the order, which has not yet been received. They have not drawn that portion's funds from the uncleared, reserved monies. Instead, they have taken another R4,128.55 directly from my available funds. When the second part of my order is dispatched, they will again take an amount of R4,029.16 from my available funds. Effectively, they will have withdrawn the amount of R16,315.42 which is double the purchase value. This happened once before and it too many months and phone calls, to get my money back. How can this be legal? How can the bank permit this?

What started as a couple of weeks lead time for an order placed on 06/06/23 has now turned to months, with no real commitment, only estimates for the end of November (28). We were left to follow up ourselves when the delivery dates weren't met, only to get a generic "Sorry" reply with a new ETA. I wrote a reply expressing my concern to Expediting.ZA@rs.rsgroup.com, website.za@rs-components.com, and sales.za@rs-components.com without as much as an acknowledgement, and that was 15 days ago.

Its a nightmare, use someone else. its over a week i am awaiting product the had listed as stock item, and now before it even arrives, i get to pay for it twice. No more for me from this company. Thank God I am in for under 1K

I'm so angry, I feel like ****ting my pants right now!! I bought Sealed Lead Acid Batteries and paid R65k for them, a day later they took an addtional R48k from my account which I don't know what is it for, let alone getting my consent for it. This is total fraud!! and I will definitely to the media for this!

I must say I was getting afraid that I have ordered again from a fake company when RS started giving me stories about import problems and started changing their ordering numbers and so forth. It took them 2 months but finally they did a perfect delivery. My suggestion to RS indicate clearly if the item is on stock or not. That will safe you a lot of bad reputation.

I must say I was getting afraid that I have ordered again from a fake company when RS started giving me stories about import problems and started changing their ordering numbers and so forth. It took them 2 months but finally they did a perfect delivery. My suggestion to RS indicate clearly if the item is on stock or not. That will safe you a lot of bad reputation.

Terrible experience. I wish I went somewhere. Massive delay. They said it was delivered when it wasn't. The tracking says it was delivered. Probably it was dropped in some unknown place and marked as delivered by UPS. Refused to refund. Really horrible.

I have always had a smooth delivery process with RS components, but this time around I’m experiencing the worst service . Ordered a filter , got an email that it was dispatched on 20/09/2022 and my account was debited . Up to today it still hasn’t been delivered . I can’t even track the status . Sent an email and they said the team dealing with shipments will contact me . Still waiting with any update .

Ordered a filter , got an email that it was dispatched on 20/09/2022 and my account was debited . Up to today it still hasn’t been delivered . I can’t even track the status . I always have a great experience with RS Components SA Midrand. Have ordered online and been in store many times and it's a great company. Ordered again online recently, I neglected to change to my new card on checkout. They contacted me promptly and assisted. I placed new order and the items delivered following morning. Placed another order yesterday, items arrived this morning. It's my go to place.
