I am deeply disappointed with the way SA Waterproofing has handled — or rather, failed to handle — their responsibility under a 10-year warranty. They completed waterproofing at my property at 138 Morningside Village Estate in 2021. Since then, they’ve already returned twice (possibly three times) to touch up or redo sections — which clearly indicates ongoing failure of their product or workmanship. Now, three years later, the waterproofing has again failed — this time resulting in visible black mould in the downstairs bathroom, posing a serious health hazard to my tenant. I’ve been trying to resolve this for over three months. I’ve called multiple times and been told “Graham will come next week” — often with very specific promises (“he’ll come Tuesday” or “he’ll be there this week”). Each time, I inform my tenant. Each time, I follow up. And every time? No one arrives. No response. No explanation. No action. On 3 June 2025, I finally sent a formal written notice giving them five working days to respond. It was respectful, reasonable, and clearly documented. To date — they have not rep****. I’ve given them every opportunity to resolve this professionally. Instead, I’ve been left chasing empty promises while the mould and damage worsen. Their customer service is non-existent, their follow-through is insulting, and their complete lack of accountability is shocking — especially for a company that offers “warranties.” If you’re considering using SA Waterproofing — don’t. If this is how they treat someone who already has a warranty, imagine how they’ll treat you once they’ve been paid. Also worth noting: they do not seem to have a Google Business listing — which might be an intentional choice to avoid public reviews like this. I am now escalating this matter to the Consumer Goods & Services Ombud (CGSO) and considering legal action. I’ve never left a review like this before, but I’ve been left with no other choice. This is not an isolated incident — it’s a pattern, and I now understand that I’m not the only one experiencing it. The only saving grace in all of this has been Setty — I truly feel sorry for her. She is likely the one absorbing all of the backlash from frustrated clients because of the company’s lack of follow-through. Avoid this company at all costs.

Also worth noting: they do not seem to have a Google Business listing, likely because they are avoiding reviews like this. I will be escalating this through the Consumer Goods & Services Ombud and taking legal action if necessary. I wouldn’t leave this kind of review if I hadn’t been pushed this far — but this company has made it abundantly clear that they are uninterested in resolving issues unless forced. Avoid at all costs. The only saving grace is Setty - I feel sorry for her because she probably has to deal with this daily.

In 2018 had waterproofing done on a large area. In 2023 had it resurfaced (part of maintenance offered). One heavy down pour water seeping in under the waterproofing, water pools on one section of the roof as it is not level. Resulting in water running down inside walls that has caused unnecessary damage. Due to the unsatisfactory workmanship I contacted Graham and sent pictures stating how disappointed I was in the poor workmanship! Message was read by him and no response received. Basically wiped their hands off. No care or pride in what they do. Will never recommend them again. Thought that it was a reputable company. Certainly NOT!!!!!!

In 2018 had waterproofing done on a large area. In 2023 had it resurfaced (part of maintenance offered). They waterproofed our patio which formed the downstairs ceiling. When it carrried in leaking they didn’t respond - Graham came ince to see. Never came back!! We eventually took their waterproofing off and found water under it. Soaking.

As from a couple of posts before I see I am not the only one that has had this experience from SA Waterproofing. The issue, 2 years ago I paid for a job and still to this day its not to satisfaction. When I originally contacted them I had minor damp and leaks and they were adamant they would resolve the issue. Its now worse than what it was before and 2 years later I still have water leaks and ever increasing water damage. SA Waterproofing have been out a number of times, even admitting at one of call outs that it was their mistake the torch on had not been sealed properly. One issue took them nearly 4 months to come out and do some patch work here and there. SA Waterproofing even got me to pay for and engineer to come out when clearly it should have been in their best interest to arrange that due to the fact they spend money and time sending a team out. I could go on for another hour at least however this is just proof that to SA Waterproofing you are just a payday and not a customer. Besides, if they cant maintain their website (people on there who haven't been working there in ages) how do you expect them to maintain your home. My advise, look around first for other alternatives.
