My holiday was a staycation with two young grandsons (8 & 6) visiting me in Johannesburg where I stay in an upstairs apartment. Other than taking them to see Christmas lights, I had to search for things to do that don’t cost too much money and was delighted to find these gems. A friendly guided tour leader, Conrad took my boys through a 747. Both boys had never flown before, so he explained and showed them all the elementary items such as putting on/releasing the seat belts, the meal serving tray, toilets etc. So this was really educational for them. Being boys they loved the smaller aircraft and the home-build Pietenpol Air Camper blew them away! Both boys simply loved it and I was grateful to be able to give them the opportunity to learn so much and experience all of the aircraft so close-up and personal. A visit to the museum is a must and something to delight both old and young.

SAA Museum doesn't want to refund our school. We went for an educational tour and we paid more. They told us that they will refund us till today they haven't refunded us. Their number is not working when we call. I've been sending emails but with no response. Please pay back the money. We also need it as a school.

Visiting the SAA Museum, was really interesting, going through the Museum and then walking through the final resting place of those magnificent planes was beyond amazing, the size of "Lebombo" was mind boggling, Walking through the plane and seeing the sheer size and magnitude defied all reasoning of how it could actually get off the ground, Everything in the museum was well sign posted, there are tours every half an hour or you can wonder through at your own pace, all in all it was amazing.
