I am a Graduate Member with SAIOSH ( South African Instute for Occupational Safety and Health) and am proud to be a member of such a professional OHS Body, who are recognized Internationally. For the small Annual Subscription fee that I pay, I receive a recognized tamper proof certificate annually, a quarterly SHEQ magazine(full of useful authentic material), access to a SHE technical forum, that has experienced members on, including an Advocate and many articles are answered by the CEO himself ( Neels Nortje), SHE Legal Library. There are endless specials arranged for members, ranging from PPE, training courses offered by 3rd Party accredited institutes, internal free SAIOSH courses which ebable you to maintain your CPD points, printed legislation and material at a discounted rate, free webinars and free conferences when circumstances allow face to face, cindering COVUD has lead to more digital meetings and the list goes on. I have been in the HSE industry for many years and belonged to International HSE Groups, and this (SAIOSH) is a group that is well worth becoming a paid member of. Please be aware that I am not writng this in order to receive any payment or incentive and neither am I personal friends with Neels and Gillian ( CEO & GM), but I feel like part of the SAIOSH family as they are personally involved in the running of this organisation and also attend/chair the meetings etc. I have lectured, facilitated and mentored thousands of people in HSE, and have confidently referred them to SAIOSH, with no negative feedback. The nice thing about this organization is that they don't get involved in politics etc and there are happy members from all walks of life, various age groups, gender, race and all different industries and levels. I would encourage you to visit their website ( www.saiosh.co.za) and establish as to which category of membership you would fall into, if you are having an issue on deciding, call them on 0100017455, or mail them on info@saiosh.co.za, and they are so accommodating and patient. As I stated earlier, I have no personal affiliation or financial gain by writing this but I strongly feel that credit must be given where due, and i am 100% convinced that you will feel the same when you join. SAIOSH, keep up the good work and high standards.
