The experience in dealing with this company - HIGHLINE MOTORSPORT (PTY) LTD has left us in serious disappointment and rather bad after thoughts bringing me to write the REVIEW to WARN OTHER potential Customers of their ********* business practice.
This stated in Mid September when my son asked that I visit the branch in Gleneagles to view a SUZUKI FRONX. As he is an intern he would not have the time to visit during business hours and the sales person said he could not take the car to my son. I checked the car, unimpressed at the dirty condition and flat battery however discussed this with my Son who then made an arrangement to meet a few days later to test the car for himself.
The Offer was then processed, with Dan the sales person, and the application was approved through the Bank near the dealership with an interest rate STUPIDLY HIGHER than the norm. This we declined and sent the application to the Bank of olur choice where the purchase again faltered. The Bank declined to do the transaction as the Dealership - HIGHLINE MOTORSPORT (PTY) LTD are NOT REGISTERED WITH THE BANKS and thus not acceptable. Through further discussion DAN informed me that they have app**** to be registered with the process taking up to TWO YEARS. Nevertheless the bank then offered to inspect the vehicle and for this we paid an amount. The findings then shocked us with the Report stating that the car had been in a accident and purchased from the Insurer, repaired and this is what we had considered.
The deal failed and we requested the refund in full. HIGHLINE MOTORSPORT (PTY) LTD refunded R 3 400 and said that they were in the process of arranging the balance. We are now at 6 weeks later and NO REFUND.
I phoned Dan today 3 11 2025 and asked that they refund the balance of R 1 600. He firstly said that he has requested the refund, offering an excuse that they only process payments once a week. I then mentioned that all business operate on a basis of arranging payments as and when needed and I do not accept the excuse. I asked where the Head Office of the company is, he responded that this is the Head Office. I mentioned that they have other branches according to their advertising, this he brushed off. Dan then rather abruptly , now with an aggressive tone said that they have costs and they pay these for the Test and Roadworthy which are due from the Customer. I said that they had been preemptive and that the costs were not our responsibility. He then seriously RUDE said "If you cannot accept that, then Im sorry" and cut the call. DISRESPECT.
I then called back to the Vereeniging branch and asked for the owner's email. This was provided.
Joe Saloojee, being the Owner.
The accountant, Ashraf, called me within an hour and purely through his voice and attitude I realized that he was about to build on the excuses. He then, NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE REFUND, went to the excuse of COSTS. His explanation being that they need to expend the money and when the transaction is completed the costs are absorbed by the BUSINESS Failing this the UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS ARE SUCKERED INTO THE COSTS AS A LOSS. He laboured the excuse which I told him to not do this.
Nonetheless we now await the refund.
PLEASE BE WARNED THIS IS AN ********* BUSINESS
