On woman's day me and granddaughter visited the salon jean Paul at shoprite park Chinatown the service was great and they helped us although we ddnt had an appointment.They are working together like a family and u'll always feel welcome.

Went there for a Botox hair treatment paid premium price but the stylist Arleen was trash she broke my hair because she could not do my type 4c hair she hurt my sculp I will never recommend any of my natural girls to go there or have her do your hair. She user a thin comb from the roots and also didn't even work the treatment through my strands I my roots were puffy after a blow and flat iron. Non of the more qualified staff even came to help. I had to redo my hair at home. What a waste of money never again greatly disappointed. Font trust anyone with your hair natural girls.

I couldn't wait to get home to write this review. Salon Jean Paul Cape Gate gave my son the worst haircut ever for the 2nd time. The first time was bad, and I thought I'd try a different barber today. This time around, it was even worse. The result was that of an amateur barber, despite having given clear instructions and a picture to support what I want the haircut to be like. Even the trimming was bad. Sadly I have to wait till my son's hair has grown as it could not even be rectified. And suddenly I understood why customers choose the competitor barbers in the area. Never will I set foot there again.

Worst service ever. It’s been 3 months now waiting on them to resolve my issue. Their head office numbers do not work. I wanted something that would make my hair less dry. They proceeded by advising me to use their products. They treated my hair in the shop as well, which made no difference to my hair. I took the products back the next day as they do not work. They just dry my hair out further. I was told I cannot return the shampoo, they took the conditioner and told me the agent will contact me in a few days. 3 months later I am still waiting. I’ve been to the store, they tell me they can’t reimburse me or do something else because they have to wait on the agent. I am not interested in their services anymore. I just want my money back.

I went to Salon Jean Paul Haasendal middle December 2023. My last visit was in October 2023. I had an appointment which I made 2 days earlier on 13 December 2023. I was booked with Simone who, I was told is the best cutter. When I got there Simone handed me over to Samantha saying she is too busy. Samantha went to Simone and I heard arguing and did all the customers. As for the 2 receptionists. They are the worst I've ever met. Rude, not knowledgable, speaking loudly and abruptly to the stylists. When I asked them what happened to the previous receptionist, they said she was fired because management wanted her gone. I found the previous receptionist to be warm, friendly, helpful and kind. I found it extremely unprofessional rude to be told the previous receptionist was fired. And I find it difficult believe as she could teach 2 in front how to have manners. My hair was pathetic. It wasn't what I wanted at all. When I said that, the receptionist said well you still have to pay for it. I asked her to call the stylist and she said she can't because she's busy. Meantime I can see the stylist sitting in the kitchen eating. That entire place is **** show.

Nobody else in the Salon came forward to help. Was wondering why the Salon was empty, now I know. Waste of our money. Disgusting service from hairdresser and owners. My daughter went to do her hair on Sunday. It was supposed to be a bun. We showed the hairdresser a picture when we booked. She did not even know how to make a bun. On 25th April I went to your branch at Haasendal, no appointment was made as I was at the center. When I went in, there was no clients in store where I was approached by Samantha and asked her the price for just a cut, she rep**** R280. I asked when can they assist me, she said know and she will do it. Perfect, I was happy! As I have very thick bushy curly hair, I told her I have a kink in my hair and I want it shorter (hair was over my shoulders) and I told here I want it above my shoulders and it must be thinned out. She her own cell phone and Googled the length and I agreed 100% with her. She cut my hair and asked me if I was happy, so I said it is still busy when she asked me what should she do. She is the stylist and should not ask me! She then thinned my hair and I left. When I got home my partner said oh thought you cut your hair cos it looks the same so I said yes I did. When I turned around to show the back I was told oh no your hair is *****. I phoned the Salon, there were closed already. I was there at 4.30pm, they close at 6pm. I have proof of the times i phoned as well. The next morning 8:30 I phoned and spoke to Jody. She new exactly who I was and told me to come back they can fix it. I told her I can't come I am working, she then said come Thursday they open from 8:30am till 2pm due to the public holiday and if I'm early they will help me first.samantga is off but Simone is there, which I was happy with. I was at the store 8.15 and Simone was inside, I told her the problem and then she said I must wait inside as they open at 9 and Samantha will be there. Then other clients came in which had an appointment with Simone so I had to wait. I asked Jody, what's happening to what she said Samantha must sort it out and I said no because she messed up how can she sort it out and why didn't she do it right in the first place. Simone could not assist,I could not get a refund...so I left. Obviously they get paid commission so obviously Samantha won't sign it off to Simone. I contacted the manager on which Jody gave me her number, Monica, and I sent her a photo of the back of my hair clearly showing it is *****, which she said Samantha must sort it out and no refunds can be done. That's the only option out or else I must make an appointment or wait for when Simone is available. They defnitief will not see me again!
