Tooth buds - Dr Ismail

Dr Ismail at the tooth buds dentist side unfortunately ripped me off. I didn't ask for a pricelist and was paying cash. I told the Dr my savings were depleted and only had a certain amount of cash I could afford to pay. She charged me R2000 for a big filling, x rays and consultation. I got home and asked Maria ( who is lovely by the way) to send me the price list for cleaning and saw the price was R1400 for what I had done. When asked why I was over charged they said I had medical material added, which wasn't discussed or anything. She knew I was strapped for cash and didn't know the prices upfront and took advantage of this knowledge.

Great people, great service

I was quickly helped on a Sunday afternoon. Dr Kruger and her staff were excellent, sympathetic, efficient and professional. They were supportive and offered extra advice gently. And you are not rushed out the door after your allotted time. They really care. I'm definitely a fan!

Waste of Time

Should be named "Pathetic Clinic" In November of 2021 my wife took my son to the clinic for a consultation. She presented our Discovery medical aid card and was told that she only needed to pay the admin fee and that Discovery will pay the balance. I went there twice in the same month and I was only asked to pay the admin fee. To our surprise we received a message this month (seven months later) from a collections agency demanding the full amount,. Not even the admin fees that were paid is reflecting on their statement. Yesterday I went to the clinic to sort this out. When I got to the reception with three ladies sitting next to one another behind the desk and I raised my concern, I was asked by one of them " met wie van ons praat jy nou einlik?" while the other two started laughing. Pathetic attitude if you ask me. Why did they tell my wife that we were covered by our Discovery plan if they knew they weren't even on Discoveries network list? If there was no correspondence for seven months, why send a collections agency after us? As far as I was concerned they've been paid. Because of their incompetence, I need to waste my valuable time to sort this out. Who do I bill for my time? Please keep your receipts when you go there. You might need it whenever.
