The Light Market in Durban, part of Electro Gadgets sold me inferior products and I experienced very poor service from staff who know nothing about customer service! The response from management is a joke to say the least!

So i put a review previously about electro gadgets light market, them selling inferior products, not having a refund or return policy displayed in store. The owners then give **** and disrepectful attitude to me as a client and when i get upset and react they now say they refuse my bussiness. The owners of this store have pathetic customer relations and a holier than thou attitude.

Allow me to save you time and money. This place is a small shop with Chinese quality electrical equipment (go through their Google images and you'll see what I mean). Generally the stock is not of legit quality. Do not be fooled by the fact that it is located near Sandton / that the salesman is well spoken. They quoted me R650 for a 100mm twin flat electrical cable via the phone (also advertised on their site). The standard quality of wire sold by your reputable store (eg Builders) is roughly quoted at R1300. Ok, fair enough I should've known this was too good to be true. Lucky I had gone to the shop with a qualified electrician and he advised accordingly stating the cables would not pass his CoC. Obviously should something happen the insurance would be reluctant to cover. To my annoyance, I'd wasted my time by trusting a salesman over who lacked transparency over the phone and when I had confronted him and his boss my concerns were taken lightly. My advice to you, stay away from places like this if you're looking to do the right think. If you're looking for poor Chinese quality, Electro Gadgets is your guy.

I want to start by saying " Keep Away from Buying/Doing business with Electro gadgets This is their details Electro Gadgets JHB: Unit A51, U Can Store, Corner Spartan Crescent and Olympia Street, Sandton, Johannesburg, 2090 011 262 0434 sales@electrogadgets.co.za In January i bought a Meccer 1440w (Combo) Inverter with 2 Gel batteries + battery box, I paid about R7200,00 for everything, (9 months later and problems) The Gel batteries have a 1 year warranty printed on the box, ( Which means if u have issue's you should be able to change them), I called them several times and e mailed them as well, advising them of the issue. Up to now No replies. I called them again today, (23/09/2020) and i was told that although the box says 1 year warranty they don't change/swop problem batteries, Guys, please don't support this Company, Rather look around and buy somewhere else. If you need inverters rather go to UPS WAREHOUSE, where you will have piece of mind. They very fast in taking the order, processing and taking your hard earned cash, But when the day comes and you have problems, They will not assist you. They should rather change their name to RIP-OFF GADGETS
