I was in a car accident, SB towing was on scene in the blink of an eye. The driver was extremely friendly and reassured and comforted me from the time of his arrival untill the scene was cleared. He assured me that they are contracted by every insurance company and that I don't not have to worry about costs. An invoice was issued that didn't include a price, since i was not in a great space, my father signed the invoice. The accident was less than 300m from the SB towing yard where the car was towed to and they charged me R8650 for my car to be towed of which R750 was for storage during the night after i clearly stated that i do not want my car to stay there overnight. After complaining about the price they adjusted it by removing R1000 only. Subsequently I was forced to pay the amount that is not covered by the insurance before they released my car.

On 21 October 2024 my wife was involved in an accident. Someone rear ended her vehicle. The owner of a towing company ( SB 24 hour towing ) was on the scene. my wife was quite shaken. This person told my wife the vehicle not able to be driven and that insurance would cover nothing unless the vehicle was towed. My wife signed a form with no figures or pricing on it. He told my wife four times that she does not have to pay anything. The next day my wife requested an invoice. We requested an invoice 2 more times in the following days. An invoice was only sent on Monday 28 October. The charges were R11 000. R7000 for towing ( the distance towed would have been approximately 2km ) and R1000 admin and R750 storage per day. I phoned the owner and said we requested an invoice the day after the incident and it was not our fault that they took their time. We got another invoice this time for R9 000. We had to pay or forfeit our vehicle. This business is not a V.A.T. vendor nor are they affiliated. I am just trying to warn anyone that they must avoid doing business with these people , as I feel they are dishonest. The owners are Shawn and Vanessa Berrington. They operate in Port Elizabeth and surrounds
