What a dissapointment it was to eat Fishcakes that tasted more like Garlic Cakes than Fish Cakes. And to top it all, the scientific explanation that was given for why it tasted more like garlic than fish. The response from Customer complaints and for Public Notice for future, when buying these 5 kg Sea Harvest Fish Cakes 5kg box size is: Dear Customer Trust you are well, At Sea Harvest, we're committed to ensuring the seafood we produce is not only delicious but also safe for consumption. We prioritize food safety throughout our entire production process, from catching to processing and distribution. Our strict quality control measures and rigorous testing protocols ensure our products meet the highest standards. All batches of products produced are evaluated during a taste evaluation session. These products are tested for aroma, taste, appearance, and texture. All products at Sea Harvest are produced according to a set specification and only accepted and approved raw material and ingredients are used. The actual batch weights of the ingredients corresponded to the required specification weight of the ingredients. In this instance, the product may exhibit a stronger garlic taste because of possible thermal abuse. Exposure to elevated or fluctuating temperatures during storage or distribution—most commonly during storage at the retail level—can accelerate chemical and enzymatic reactions within the product. These reactions can intensify certain flavour compounds, particularly garlic, causing the taste to become more pronounced and unbalanced. As a result, the product may develop a stronger garlic flavor than intended, even though the formulation itself has not changed. We kindly request that you return any remaining product and its packaging, along with your proof of purchase, to the store where it was bought. I bought fish and tried to prepare the next day. I was surprised by the outcome as it was the first time buying from them. I took it back and lodged a complain until today no feedback. I went to the shop several times and I am ignored. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS XAVIER OUTLET

I purchased a box of fish on 02/10, made for dinner 04/10, and that same evening I sent a complaint via email to info@seaharvest.co.za, including a photo of the till slip and product information on the box. I have had no response, no phone call, absolutely no response. Seems Sea Harvest doesn't care about customer experience, or about the quality of their products

Bought a box of hake fillet at Sea Harvest, Xavier Road. Procured on Sunday, and returned on Monday where I requested an exchange as it only came with the skin... I sent images and I cannot sell this to my clients This is day light ******* and goes against the consumer protection act

Xavier Sea Harvest, highly disappointed! I had food poisoning from their fish I bought on Saturday 8th of July! Only to check the date that they sell expired fish!!! I got sick for two day!!!!! I’m upset! Angry! That customers have to constantly check dates when buying

I am very disappointed customer , i bought a box of fish-fingers (24) at shoprite mokopane and it was on special, i got home and the fish fingers were rotten, and couldn't go back because i am based in mookgopong, my money straight to the rubbish bin. My son was very unhappy because they are his favourite when he goes to school. I am writing this because I am expecting you to do something about this, since I am sure that I am not the only one.if something is off, don't sell to people, it is really unfair. I am very disappointed customer , i bought a box of fish-fingers (24) at shoprite mokopane and it was on special, i got home and the fish fingers were rotten, and couldn't go back because i am based in mookgopong, my money straight to the rubbish bin. My son was very unhappy because they are his favourite when he goes to school. I am writing this because I am expecting you to do something about this, since I am sure that I am not the only one.if something is off, don't sell to people, it is really unfair. I received exceptional service from Zaheer, Pilani and Simone from your Umhlanga branch a few weeks ago. The outstanding service delivery and treating the customers with care and respect speaks volumes for the brand. The store is very clean and neat making it a pleasant shopping experience.
