I had a harddrive that failed in 2022, called and took it to Rudolf Du Toit, 0825000058, for evaluation, cost R990, paid and waited, after a week or so, I was informed to pay R3450 for parts and so I did, after 9 months of not answering my calls and making excuses, he finally told me that he could not recover my drive and would refund the R3450, after a week or so he dropped it off at menlyn maine, fortunetaly the drive was mine, although untouched since day one. Called him up in 2024 after numberous attempts to get the refund that never happened. He was very rude and did not want to go through his files that would have shown he did not repair my drive nor did he check that he refunded me, which could easily be done via bank statements. These two things alone should have showed him he did not fix my drive and was liable for a refund. At a time his website stated that "no recovery, no fee", this has been removed since then. I urge anyone who wants to recover their data not to use this ****mer and if your equipment is still with him, try and get it back asap.
