<div>From a professional level - to say that I am "disappointed" by the legal aid provided, would be an understatement. I have just come back from the Regional Court. My application was rejected for containing insufficient documentation. There are 4 elements missing and/or inconsistencies from the steps / guidance S&D provided in their "step-by-step" guide: This guide outlines 1 document, a "summons" needed, with 3 copies total... and a verbal note (not contained in the guide) that a marriage certificate copy and physical ID are needed. The issues I was reprimanded on at court: (1) 4 copies (not 3, as specified) of the summons are needed (2) An original (not certified, and not a copy) of the marriage certificate is needed (3) The ANC was required, it could not be skipped (We were told an ANC may be skipped.) (4) A certified copy of ID was needed as well I took a leave to be able to work through this at the court. To streamline it, I paid for a professional service to be rendered. I expected, when paying R5.7k (incl. VAT)... to at the very least be helped in this process. To have 4 critical pieces of information missing is absolutely unacceptable. I now have 4 additional appointments needed before continuing. Not only have I wasted my time, wasted a half-day leave to do this unsuccessfully, paid an excessive amount to be "reassured" by "professional" guidance... but I have also had passive aggressive comments through the email exchange, "the DIY Divorce guide as it sets out all the steps." - missing information, and "This is also why I suggested during our consultation that we prepare a quote (for us to do this for you)", in spite of giving no quote. Finally - when asking for accountability to be taken from SD, I get told (3 days later) that there are "differences in different courts". No apology. No accountability. Awful experience.</div>

Everything was top-shelf service until the initial invoice had been paid. I was asked to give a review after our second meeting which was odd, but makes sense now that I've experienced working with them. I was given a quote, which I approved and was assured that there would be no additional costs incurred without warning and written approval. You can imagine my surprise when I was slapped with additional fee that more than doubled our agreed quote. With the court date looming, I was informed that they would not proceed until this additional, unapproved invoice was paid. So R40K down and I have never been further from the objective of being protected. My attorney told me I should "calm down" and that he felt that I would "probably" be safe. He failed to inform me that by dropping the restraining order petition, all evidence relevant and included in my restraining order application would no longer be taken into consideration at all. All the evidence, affidavits and witness testimonies that took weeks for me to gather demonstrating months of abuse - gone. I enquired as to how to continue to pursue a protection order without any of the previously gathered evidence, I was informed I couldn't file again until he did me actual grievous harm. I'd expect better from a law firm in a strip mall by an airport. Shameful.

I had an unfortunate experience with Simon Dippenaar and Associates. They were unresponsive, unprofessional, and appeared to lack the basic competency to execute the plan they had advised me on. After a week of waiting and multiple follow-ups, I was informed they had decided not to move forward, leaving me in a difficult position. As a result, I lost a claimed offer, all due to my misplaced trust in their service and their failure to respond to my follow-up calls and emails. With so many law firms in Cape Town, I cannot recommend Simon Dippenaar and Associates.

Nia Yu of Simon Dippenaar and Asociates 086 099 5146 is an attorney of the highest quality. Nia went beyond the scope of her legal responsibilities and showed me actual compassion. Her experience, knowledge and success gave me a peace of mind during an extremely stressful situation. Nias service was unbelievable, responding to each one of my correspondence, no matter how petty within minutes. I have dealt with many attorneys over the years both from a business and private perspective and eventually I found the one in a million. I never need to look for a master of the law again. Thank you, Nia.

I was impressed by the efficiency and professionalism of the Simon Dipenaar & Associates service. I had a consultation with Cronje Oosthuizen over the phone who comprehensively explained me all the aspects of the tenant eviction and possible approaches. He was very helpful in this regard, answered all the vital questions and patiently provided me with the knowledge that I required. I would certainly recommend the firm Simon Dipenaar & Associates to anyone in my situation. Thank you once again for your service, Cronje!

This is in my opinion is probably the best law firm in South Africa. Hands down!! They were the only ones who showed willingness to assist me with my tenant problems. Their rates are some of the most affordable amongst law firms. In fact, for the service you get. I could say that their rates are even cheap. Within 24 hours of my email they had responded and on a Sunday. Notices and communication to tenants were done 24 hours later. I get continuous updates on my cases sometimes on a 'daily' basis. After the passing of my Beloved Mother. I have now been able to restore order in my property. Special thank you to Elly and Simon with you by my side I know I will win any case. May God bless you!!

Simon Dippenaar & Associates provided consultation services on a tenant eviction matter in Johannesburg. The service was outstanding in all respects. Their sense of urgency to get the job done and the effectiveness of the outcome delivered an assured and impactful performance. Elly, Fritz, Cronje, and Simon worked seamlessly together to support our objectives and I do, without hesitation, recommend them as a firm in a league of their own.
