Absolutely horrible 24 month’s ever with skyfi/fibrestream. Within 24 hours of installation the problems start. After paying R3500 for installation and R700 p/m for their services I’m expecting exceptional services, but it’s far from it. Now if you where like me not having fibre in your area and sick and tired of ADSL you are most likely looking at their wireless services where you need a power beam. My advice, wait for fibre and stick with ADSL. When the weather is bad you don’t have internet, if there is load shedding at the tower mast where your signal goes to you won’t have internet because skyfi/fiberstream is to **** to get a generator to keep the mast going and the list goes on. Anyway somehow we get through 24 months and finally we have the option of moving over to fibre but definitely with a deferent ISP. Upon giving them a 30 days notice we are not renewing the contract we received a mail back stating they will come and collect all their equipment. Hold on I paid R3500 for the installation of a router a 30m cable and a power beam and when I signed up I was told upon completion of 24 month contract the equipment stays in our possession. But of course I was young dumb didn’t read the contract thoroughly stating we are only leasing the equipment. Now I’m here to warn you incase you are thinking the installation cost is fair and their services are good. Just obtain a contract from them and make sure you read it carefully and I’m sure when you are done you will make the same decision I should have if I read it thoroughly. (You’ll see it’s the most outrageous contact you will read from a ISP) I would have sticked with ADSL and all telkoms problems if I knew then what I know now. But in the end after 24 hours since notifications was given our internet was cut of completely without warning and I’m still expected to pay R700 for the month even though the contract it still valid for 30 days or 29 days now.

THIS COMPANY IS A DISASTER! We had an account from January 2020 until June 2021. On 21 June, the wifi stopped working. when we tried calling they had an automated system informing that they were aware of a VUMATEL problem and that they were fixing it. A day later their numbers were blocked and you couldn't get a hold of anyone. Apparently, the directors of the Company, LEONA HEWITT-COLEMAN, IVANA FILBY and MICHAEL JULIO PINTO RIBEIRO had taken clients' money but failed to pay line rentals to Vumatel. We were all left in the lurch without even being notified that our wifi would be cut. Even worse, we had COVID and were stuck quarantining with no wifi. STAY WELL CLEAR!

What a joke of an ISP. Incompetent and arrogant. The biggest liars who should go out of business immediately. Do not come near this sorry excuse of a business. If you want a cancellation you have to prove that they’ve breached the contract and when you have the proof they don’t even wanna consider it because according to them it’s not a breach to be paying for 200MBps but consistently for the last 2 years be getting no more than 50MPps. They always have excuses and they always ‘resolve’ tickets to make it look like they helped when they just ignore you.

Sometimes in November 2019 Fibrestream took over my previous provider Skyfi and asked for a debit order to be issued to the new entity. I refused as there were accounting problems with Skify before and did pay my monthly account on time by EFT. Early 2020 I cancelled the account due to a move and settled all bills including the last month cancellation. Nevertheless Fibrestream debited an amount of R999 from my account on 1 April though they did not have any debit authorisation by using information from Skifi accounts and has since then refused to refund the amount.

Signed a 2 year contract with skyfi all was going well untill 10 months in, I randomly get an email from fiber stream that I was sold to fiber stream in December 2019 I signed with skyfi in May 2019, my contract states I pay R343.85 as of april Fiber stream has charged me R699 for a 2mbps line, and I lodged a complaint all skyfi says if I can't pay I must cancel, I also lodged a complaint on April 22de 2020 at 3:07pm and fiber stream emailed me back stating they received it, at 3:08pm I got another email that the ticket has been closed and that they hope it's been resolved how the hell! The way I see it I can't confirm is but I see it as Fiber stream aka skyfi is the same company I think and they use skyfi as a front to lure people in and then "sell them" to Bill them more they in the same building same address. Be careful of Skyfi and Fiberstream
