Plumber Charged for Hours Not Worked and Left Job Incomplete
I would like to raise a complaint regarding a plumber(Mbedzi plumbing) I found through Snupit. The plumber explained that he charges R950 for the first hour and R200 for each additional hour. He was at my property for about four hours, but during that time he was not consistently working. At one point he left the property to pump his car wheels and only returned later to continue with the job. He eventually managed to unblock the toilet, but the work was not fully completed. He dug a hole and said some piping still needed to be replaced, but he claimed he had left the pipes at home and would come back the following week. Initially he wanted to charge R1800, but after we complained he reduced it to R1400, which we paid. Now he says that when he comes back this week to finish the job, we must pay an additional R800. I feel this is unfair because he charged based on time even though he was not working continuously, and the job was left incomplete while we are still expected to pay more money. I hope this matter can be addressed so that other customers are not placed in a similar situation.

Poor and disappointing service
Please be careful when using this platform to access service providers. The service providers are not necessarily pro's and professional. I used Snupit on two occasions once in 2022 and again in 2026 and on both occasions I was ****med. The two service providers left much to be desired. When this does happen Snupit cannot do much to help. Just a heads up.

You have to be stupid to use Snupit
They advertise "Pro's" who they claim they've verified their identity and address details, then you end up hiring this person just to find out they've ****med you. When you subsequently try to contact Snupit's support to address the issue and get this ****mer's "verified" identity from them, they can't even be bothered to reply.

Snupit - Bad service
I have recently added my second company. Received a call from them to update details. Next thing my old account was erased and new account was created with non of my company details. I have emailed them a number of time, still this has not been resolved.

Bad service
This company has ****** me it does not want to give me my credits back of Wich I bought with money and to make things worse it has blocked my profile and they don't respond to my emails

Disappointed
I signed up with them, and got leads that just fall into thin air. I even ended up asking one of the so-called Clients if they really did request for a service on snupit, to which there was no reply. My personal assessment tells me that none of the requests I got were real, the outcome is always the same.

Worst place to get contractors
I'm extremely disappointed in Snupit, particularly because they failed to post my review of Leindee Projects, a contractor I hired through their platform. This lack of transparency raises serious concerns. Here's my experience: I hired Leindee Projects through Snupit, and they started the job with an *********** team that executed the project incorrectly. Upon my complaint, they apologized and introduced a new team, attributing the previous team's failure to a subcontractor's abandonment of the project. The new team partially completed the bulkhead but failed to fulfill other project requirements, including rhinolite painting and staircase lighting. Furthermore, despite my payment for materials, including a chandelier and other essential items, they never procured these materials, leaving the project incomplete. The situation was exacerbated by their decision to hire random workers off the street, resulting in substandard work. The painting job was left unfinished, and their electrician caused significant damage to my home's electrical system. Due to their poor performance, lack of professionalism, and failure to meet deadlines, I was compelled to terminate their services. Unfortunately, they left the project in an incomplete state, and I am now left to address the consequences. Snupit's inadequate vetting process is concerning, given the caliber of contractors like Leindee Projects that they allow on their platform. I advise potential clients to exercise caution when using this platform.
