The worst ever. I got handed over without prior notice after I had moved out of the place.

The building managers are really so bad at communicating at this place. You'll wake up to some random power outage only to find that the building is having maintenance that they've known about for weeks but didn't bother to inform tenants about. As tenants we're always fending for ourselves and fighting for s****s of information as though there's no one who is supposed to be responsible for keeping us informed about these things.

If you want to see yourself running around like a headless chicken looking for water then you can move to south hills. I moved in last year September, there was water issues then,, went on for months. A year later and we still carrying water with buckets from water trucks that sometimes come while we at work! We have water 💦 tanks but often times they are empty There is no communication from the management on what the plan is🥹. Frustrating is an understatement

If you care about your mental health and the health of your family, stay away from this place. It’s been over 2 weeks now without water 💦. Imagine the smell coming from the toilet and sink . Ruuuuuuunnnnnn. If you get lucky you will get water for 30minutes then wait for another 2 to 3 weeks to get water. Here you carry buckets Monday to Sunday, you have to beg for AFCHO/Joburg mayor to send roaming water trucks. Run for your life. There’s not life here, you are literally staying in a hostel. Hostels are even better compared to this place. Don’t be lured by the “one month rent free and free deposit “ . This is all their tactics to get you to come live in this horrible place. From the 1st day you move in there will be no water!!!!! Next thing booom no electricity, poor Wi-Fi connectivity.

I am writing to express my utter disappointment and frustration with AFCHO and the unacceptable living conditions at South Hills Lifestyle Estate. For the past four weeks, we have been without a consistent water supply, which is not only an extreme inconvenience but also a violation of basic human rights. Water is essential for daily hygiene, and general wellbeing – AFCHO’s failure to provide this basic necessity is not only negligent but also deeply disrespectful to its residents. AFCHO has shown no urgency or empathy in addressing this prolonged water crisis. It is clear that resident wellbeing is not a priority, nor does there seem to be any accountability on AFCHO’s part. This failure to uphold residents’ rights and meet their needs has left us all feeling disregarded, with our health and daily lives severely impacted. I strongly discourage anyone from considering South Hills Lifestyle Estate as a residence. AFCHO’s blatant disregard for residents’ comfort and wellbeing, alongside this prolonged violation of basic human rights, is unacceptable. Potential residents deserve to know the reality of living under AFCHO's management – they do not prioritize the essential rights and needs of the people who reside in their properties.

We have no water for a week now. Well, it is a norm but what bothers me is that the management does absolutely nothing about this water crisis but if you underpay them with a cent, they change you locks.
