Bad shopping experience inside the store Good Day Spar Carlswald Im very very upset,i went to Carlswald spar to buy curry leaves of R12.99 inside your store is a begger,he got me inside the store and asked me to buy him a loaf of bread and two tins of tin food for him and his kids,i said ok because im being guilt tripped in your store ruining my shopping experience when i got to the till he came to the till with added items totaling R150 😤😡 after im higly irritated and ****ed off ,the cashier tells me this gentleman is doing it to many customers After I ALREADY PAID! WHY IS HE ALLOWED IN THE STORE,I WAS ****MED OUT OF MY MONEY BECAUSE SPAR ALLOWS PEOPLE TO BEG IN THEIR STORE. WHAT A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE R150 IS ALOT OF MY HARD EARNED CASH AND ALL I BOUGHT WAS CURRY LEAVES OF 12 RAND FOR MYSELF!Im super angry that this is allowed in your store,i wont be going back,managment should not allow him in the store and the cashiers should warn us before we swipe and be put on guilt trips on sob stories and lies by your so called customers,i will be posting this on facebook as well and social media! ****ed of customer

If I could give 0 stars, I would; unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest allowed. I went to this SPA location to renew my vehicle license disc, and they somehow managed to renew it for the wrong car. When I raised the issue, they took no responsibility whatsoever. Instead of correcting their mistake, they told me I had to pay again. Yes, you read that right, they expected me to pay twice for their own blunder. No apology. No effort to help. No accountability. Just lazy, dismissive staff who clearly don’t know, or care, what they’re doing. It’s as if customer service is optional here, and basic competence is completely absent. To be honest, the way this store is run is an embarrassment. If this is how SPA handles basic services, I wouldn’t trust them to count change correctly, let alone handle anything important. Do yourself a favour, avoid this place for license renewals or anything else. You’re better off dealing with Home Affairs than putting yourself through this circus of incompetence.

The staff is very friendly and helpful by interacting with customers and I will be keep on shopping at this supermarket. The prices are low and the quality of their products is very good and fresh. They offer pensioner discounts at all times.

I drive past a few Spar shops on the way home just to go to the Spar at Carlswald Shopping Centre in Midrand. I have been shopping there for quite a few years and it is generally a good experience however there is one negative point...they decide to do their cashier change of shift at 6pm each day...this is one of the the busiest times at this store and queues are often snaking into the aisles.For those of us that work and finish after 5pm...we get to the store between 5.30-6pm. When it is time to pay we get told that this cashier is closing as she has to go home...this is a service business and surely the customers peak shopping times must be taken into account when deciding on the change of shifts...adding insult to injury there are even a few cashier points that closed during this time. With the aisles full of people that are in the queues to pay...this makes normal shopping during this time an absolute nightmare.

had the worst experience at Spar Carsworld, went in the shop wanted to be assisted with an isle with peanuts if I'm not mistaken the white guy may be a manager called out to him for assistance but he just dismissed me as if he can not see me and continued browsing on his phone( Bruce) as if I'm not a paying customer. I am really disappointed in the service or managers are not allowed to assist customers? i don't know what happened to customer service lately. For a leader that may be in a managerial position he should have conducted himself accordingly and assisted
