Arrogant and very rude short guy by the name of Jimmy. The people from that store say he's the Owner. I will never buy anything from that store ever again. Even the managers of that store are like him: arrogant and rude. No one should buy from that store until the attitude changes. Spar Ferryvale has great customer service far better than Superspar The Angelo. The short guy Jimmy was even rude to the sales rep that was waiting for him

I am deeply disappointed that this business denied entry to my guide dog in training. Guide dogs cannot magically know how to help someone who is blind or visually impaired — they must be trained in real-world environments like shops, restaurants, and other public spaces. By refusing access, this business is preventing future guide dogs from learning the vital skills they need to give someone independence, safety, and dignity. Turning away a guide dog in training is not just inconvenient — it is harmful, discriminatory, and immoral. I truly hope this business reconsiders its stance and chooses to support accessibility and inclusion in the future.

I had bought chicken breasts from this spar and we all ended up with food poisoning after eating the curry I made with it. I then sent them a msg via fb on monday. No answer for 2 days. Then was told that a manager will phone me. What a shock I got when I was put on trial by the butchery from Spar's manager. Tried everything possible to get the attention off the bad chicken. Asking me what kind of pot I used, was it not the curry spice, what did I cook with it. Like only my veg and rice. I was treated like a crimanal. We had to go and sit in lines at the clinic just to get meds. My elderly mom was so weak. We don't have money for doctors. The chicken pack was a R116 all had to be thrown in the dustbin. We are batteling yes, but that doesnt give the managers of Spar The Square Boksburg the right to treat us like animals. I just asked them to check chicken before putting it out on shelves to prevent this from happening to more people. Im utterly disgusted by the way I was treated in this matter.
