A bad experience, I called tuesday spoke with Desiree and informed her that I want to bring the kids over as day visitors on Thurs but the main thing is will they be able to use the pool and she said on condition that we buy food from them, but I requested we bring a bday cake as we will be celebrating my sons bday, on Wednesday, and she said it's fine so I gave a no which will be 15,. Yesterday she called (Desiree) to confirm if we coming and I told her no it's for Thursday and she requested to remind her on Thursday morning, which I did and Lydia answered the phone informing me that Desiree is off and I confirmed the same thing above as Desiree and she also agreed that it is possible. I hired a taxi, for 15 people who traveled 51km to reach the place which cost me R1000, when they reached the place they were told that it's not possible for the to swim its only for booked in guest, I tried to speak to them cos kids a there already the manage called and promised to speak to the owner who wanted to chase these kids away when they arrived in a kombi. He never came back to me. Kids decided to buy food the table was set as they were to order food unfortunately they were told food won't be enough all of them. They had to leave and the taxi was called half coz it was suppose to come @4pm.i tried to negotiate with the manager that I can pay R50 per person for them to swim. I am deeply disappointed, they did not consider that it was bday /family outing, I chose Sparkling waters to expose them to know let them the area better. I am so angry cos a spend money for transport, the emitionall disappoint on the kids and so have spend again to take them sumwhere else tomorrow, please let them reimburse me my money I spent 2day on transport and tomorrow.

I have been buying aQuelle Sparkling Water for years and it has always been consistent. The last two six packs I have bought are very disappointing, they are almost impossible to open the bottle (500ml) and once open it is not really sparkling and goes flat very very quickly even with the bottle firmly closed. Is there a problem?

What a disappointment! I booked online and paid by credit card in full. Upon arrival I was told that the amount I had to pay was still outstanding! After the issue was settled at last I was showed to room nr 30. Later the evening we were shocked when the taps were opened and there were no cold or hot water! After the staff were alerted we were lucky after the 3rd room they tested. Needles to say that we had to relocate to another room at 22h00. We checked out after paying the outstanding bill for the amount of R 1 526.00 only to receive a phonecall the next morning to inform us that the aforementioned amount was still outstanding. Needless to say that this was my last visit to Sparkling Waters after making use of the facility numerous times in the past. The standard of management definitely needs urgent attention.

Went there for a brunch on Sunday. Decided to sit on patio. Provided with a menu that was photocopied and cut very skew. 4 out of the 7 or so main menu items not available. One order of hake and chips was overcooked, straight out of freezer, dry, bony and tasteless. T Bone was paper thin, more like a minute steak on the bone, which I have never heard of. Kids hot dog was burnt underneath sausage. Frozen chips were awful. Sad thing is you pay a 5* price for a 1* fast food quality meal, which I would never buy twice. The fast food fish franchise provides better quality fish and chips at R36, as opposed to R150 we were charged. Worst of all, email sent advising them of experience bounces back.

Worst experience ever and will NEVER refer business or family/ friends to Sparkling Waters facilities or accommodation! Sparkling Waters Resort (Magaliesburg) hosted a religious group with hundreds of people through the course of the day and overnight this past Saturday. The group had every right to be there having paid to host their ceremony at Sparkling Waters, however had no right at all to monopolise the entire Resort and make it extremely unpleasant for other guests. My colleagues were threatened by the Pastors’ security entourage at gun point when walking to their rooms, their patio furniture had been removed so that the group could use it for themselves, some group members camped out on the patios of my colleagues’ Chalets so there was no privacy at all, they were forced to leave the pool area and the group was unbearably loud. Add to that, the employees of Sparkling Waters refused access to my colleagues to the dining area at dinner stating that the food was for the group only. After complaints management allowed them into the dining area but it was too late at that stage leaving very little, to no food left for them. As the evening progressed it worsened and it was unfortunately too late in the evening for my colleagues to leave. They felt threatened and had to lock themselves in their rooms for the majority of the stay. To make matters worse; the group then started breaking down the stage at mid-night making even more noise thus they were unable to rest after this stressful time. The Resort had no control over what was happening and should take responsibility for extremely poor management, allowing their guests to feel so uncomfortable and worst of all, unsafe. We were informed of the Church group but was not expecting approximately 600 – 800 people. If the amount of people was mentioned the booking would have been moved or Sparkling waters should have booked the venue exclusively for the group not allowing further bookings. It was very unexpected to find a church group so violent, threatening, disrespectful and rude. When these concerns were addressed with the manager, favour was taken with the church group. It is understandable that a booking for the majority of the resort for such a big event is great for business but do not forget about the smaller groups and individuals who will refer regular business in the Future. Think long term! As one of the people responsible for making team building, conference venue and incentive trip bookings for a large national corporate company, Sparkling Waters have been removed from the list completely as an option. The company staff, associate companies and personal relations will be informed about this and chances are that nobody will visit the resort knowing about these events that unfolded. To Sparkling Waters management; We paid a significant amount to host our team building and book four rooms. Words cannot explain how dissatisfied we are. We definitely did not get our money’s worth and the promise that your Resort offers. Also please be mindful to not allow this to happen to other guests in future. I am expressing this online as the manager had said he would resolve matters on the evening however did not return or make any effort.

Sparkling waters is a great family hotel that I can highly recommend. My compliment though, relates to the assistance they gave my 80+ y/o parents when my father had to be hospitalised shortly after arrival. They called an ambulance and Ray drove my mother to and from the hospital and even made another trip back to rustenburg to get more pills. A big thank you to them.

Hi,

My mother bought Chicken from Spar, the date said 31/01/2015. she was about to prepare that chicken on the 28/01/2015. when she opened the chicken for preparation, to her surprise it had an awful smell.

she does not have transport to go back to the Spar right now, and has asked me to lay this complaint. All items sold should be checked regularly in order to ensure that customers do not end up in a situation like this.

this could be one of two things, either Spar had received them in the store spoilt, or the dates on the packaging was changed and put back on the shelf.

please can someone get back to me with feedback. This is unacceptable as we do not live in Edenvale, my mum was in the area and decided to shop at that Spar. we are in Germiston.

Regards
Arisha
