Unfortunately, your response does not reflect the full picture.
No communication about additional costs
While you may have incurred additional costs during the job, at no stage were we informed beforehand that the amount would increase from your initial verbal quote of between R2000 and R3000. In professional business practice, when costs change, the client is notified immediately and given the choice to approve or decline — that did not happen.
Materials and prep work
If prep work was not completed when you arrived, it still does not justify changing the price without prior discussion. If additional work was needed, a revised quote should have been presented and agreed upon.
Transparency and communication
The issue is not the quality of the work done. The issue is how the situation was handled: no transparent communication, a sudden increase in cost, and an extremely rude and defensive response when questioned.
Customer experience matters
As a business owner myself, I respect and value fair payment for services rendered — but that must go hand in hand with respectful communication and clear agreements.
My review remains an accurate reflection of my experience as a paying customer, and I believe I have the right to share it honestly.
